If you have any questions, feel free to pm me. I hope my advice is helpful in your development as a percussionist and that you continue your percussive education.
(cont) Coming from a guy who used to be just like you: you will regret most of the comments you made in middle school and high school.
For the performer: Not bad for preparing in two days, and Im sure you know where the rhythmic inaccuracies are, so I won't bother pointing them out, except I would encourage you to be careful of diddle interpretation, some of them seem "slurred". My only other musical advice is to expand your dynamic range. There are clear "louds" and "softs" but no inbetween.
(cont) Constructive criticism is simply debatable advice...you will learn this once you get to college. I promise. All you are doing is offending someone when you say "I can play this cleaner" to be perfectly honest, I don't care what you can do. Im sure the performer in this video is the same way. Worry about you, give constructive advice and move on with your life please. (cont)
Okay. Lets start with the comments. Guys...heres the deal, the word "clean" refers to how you are in relation to a line, obviously this is 1 person...not a line, so "clean" or "not clean" should not be used to describe any part of this.
Next, I dont know why you would even say "I play cleaner than him". Who cares? Not everything is a compitition. Even if he HAD had the time he needed to prepare for this solo, what matters is his interpretation of it. (continued on next post)
This is not that dificult... Im an 8th grader i played this for solo and ensemble this year........ The only hard part is the backsticking in measure 51 and 52..
lol that peice wasnt that hard, don get me wrong you played it well but these people are acting like you are godly for this peice thats not very difficult, my friend who is a freshman is playing that and i am playin First, equally challenging songs but capable
wow seriously awesome. how hard is this? im a freshman in high school and i wanna blow everyone away, so im going to play this. its great that you put the solo on here, and labeled it what it is instead of: my drum solo, or something. i can use this for reference!
check out me playing this in my odyssey 2 solo video

It would've been cleaner if it was slower.

How old are you in this? I'm a junior and not able to play this... I think I might be behind.
