  • did you know that the word "Ka" (in Tom Ka Gai) means galangal, which you just replaced it with ginger -_-"

  • @zedomax huh didnt know it's also called "white ginger" appologize then. otherwise it looks yum :)

  • @TheWildpoodle you can't replace with ginger, if you do it will become Tom Khing Gai not Tom Kha Gai.

  • @Ooddyonly Uhh huh. I see....but why you're telling me something I already knew again?

  • It was so hard to squeeze the juice out of the lime because the lime was cut the wrong way. To juice the lime you cut it crosswise dude.

  • sorry for saying that if you want to attract someone to the dish please keep the kitchen clean first

  • no galangal, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, or sugar??? and sorry to say, but ginger is no substitute for galangal... they are two TOTALLY different tastes. ginger is the WRONG flavor for this soup. i believe that tom kha means boiled galangal, but i may be wrong... but this recipie is far from being authentic tom kha gai. sorry.
