  • Smiles exactly what i been going through i am ashamed of what i done and feel guilty for what i have ate and drank never again though glad u here i get inspired by people like you good luck friend it's all blessing in disguise to realize a new way

  • Nice vid. One scientist actually finds guilt to be rather adaptive, enhancing empathy, unlike shame. Yet I think both can be adaptive or not. S can lead to change, and G to reparation, e.g. I think the problem is being shamed or guilt tripped externally versus natural self shaming thru ones conscience. I've thought a lot about these subjects. I want to suggest good v. bad Shame&Guilt....

I'd never shame another. Empathy&validation can go long way for healing even w/o agreement on a subj.

  • What if a guy robbed a bank and accidentally hurt someone really bad. So he he feels guilty and shameful. He also dreads that persons family is after him so he never becomes a rock star in fear his secret would be let out?

  • Seriously? Kind of an inverse Count of Monte Cristo solution... I'd say that guy should move to a tropical, foreign country with all his loot from the bank job. From there, he can live low-profile and find ways to secretly gift that hurt person and his/her family from his bank funds. Eventually win over the family and rectify the harm...

  • Cool thanks for the vid bro. I've just started dealing with lifelong shame issues. Shame is one of the worst psychological self-limiters a person can have. It pretty much makes you hate life if you don't deal with it.
