The entire point of Expelled is that if you speak of Creationism in any way except "lol it's total bullshit", you are BLACKLISTED. Which is proven by how people are looking at Ben now. The sad thing is I bet a lot of you hating on Ben don't fully understand the Theory/Fact of Evolution, you've only a half-baked generalization of it. There are viable questions about it that uneducated people just CAN'T ANSWER. The answers are there, but the common layman, even with a little research can't answer.
I agree with you %100. The true question to ask though, why would he do it?
Money.... When any church sees a man with social status they will be willing to pay them plentiful amounts to "spread their word." Currently, their word is "teach the controversy" and thus, Ben Stein has made huge amounts of money making Expelled. To be honest, I would too if the price was right.
Wow! you had a real crisis of faith. would you be prepared to give video response about that. I'm really interested to know how you went from creationist to....um...rejecting creation science.
What makes so many people angry about Expelled? The reason is that "Expelled" uses so many dirty manipulative tricks. It is dead obvious that the authors of the movie are highly dishonest people.
Here is what may not be obvious:
I believe that in science (and in life, too), in order to be able to see the truth you must possess some level of honesty yourself.
So there is correlation between 1. Some one believes in intelligent design 2. That same person likes to hit under the belt
I liked John Lennox's comment in the movie, which basically said that we are led to believe from the Darwinists that the science comes first and then the world view comes second; however, Mr. Lennox suggested that it is actually the other way around i.e. The world view comes first and then it is used to interpret the science in light of the world view. This thought leads one back to theology which theology (at least Christian theology) explains.
Man, you said it. What a disappointment Ben Stein turned out to be. A lovable character actor and someone who I enjoyed seeing as I was growing up, and oops, turns out he's a flaming idiot!
Oh well! He's a casualty we'll just have to leave behind.
globetrekker2: You are the fool, coz you will burn in hell, for the fact that you believe in it!!! Stupid globetrekker!!! Science tells you history, evolution backed up with laws and theories. Your bible is a book written by ass fuckers who were bored from staring at the sun.
Most Christians will never be enlightened by science......they are genetically inferior and genetically predisposed to being stupid and brainwashed......that's why I stopped wasting time converting these retards to science and just focused on praising scientists who make great breakthoughs in our understanding of nature......they will contribute far more to the advancement of human knowledge than any Christian moron would.
He was a funny guy, a "smart" guy, a household name really. I hear you man. it really broke my heart to hear he had fallen in with anti-science creationist liars.
You should have learned them in your first year of college science I did. I will tell you. Micro is natural selection. It is change that happens within a kind. Macro is the changing from on kind to another. There is no proof of this and millions of micro. Sorry you don't know the difference it is really simple.
you could at the least memorize some of the text you wrote down and not read every single vowel and plural and space off of the momitor it makes you look like a fucking retard
How dense can you be. Google Macro evolution there are different meanings in the word evolution sorry you don't know them. I unlike you went to a university to learn them.LOL no wonder there are so many of these videos.LOL just amazing.

The real fraud here is to teach macro evolution or orgin of life from it. There is no proof nor has there been any to support this idea for 150 years. My guess is it won't be taught this way in 20 years. By the way Bein is so smart the retards on youtube have no idea. However if you want to attack someones worldview that is another issue. None of you know one fact of Macro evolution nor orgin but I bet you think it is fine to teach as truth to kids. What a shame.
There is no such thing as macro evolution or micro evolution. Just evolution. Life did not originate from evolution, evolution is what life did to diverge from the origin.
Scientists have a proper word for "macro evolution" which is speciation. And speciation has been observed, and hence proven. Google it.
Evolution has nothing to do with origin. If nothing else remember that.
its nice to see that you see ben is a moron. NO matter what your view on evolution is, is that Ben really does not know what he is talking about. This movie is crap.
yamascott you can ask questions. His movie is crap because what it says is only ask questions about evolution and say that a invisable man is doing everything. The reason it is looked down on is one has lots of proof...while the other has very little. So you can ask it, though you will be looked down on based on alot of ppl basing there beliefs on lack of proof instead of proof.
dude, aren't you the same guy who defended his dishonesty from thundef00t? now you just come across as populous. you should become a politician(not a compliment).
populous? I think you meant "populist", although since you're accusing me me of being "two different people", I guess "populous" (i.e. having many people) works too! ROFL!!!
I think *that* specific part that I defended was not unethical, because I think the people who refuse to speak to the other side, are the ones in the wrong, and lying to get them to engage you is justifiable. But my object was just to its characterization as "academic dishonesty" -- *viewers* aren't thence lied to there!

His attack is on the lack of freedom that is given to scientist. Your video comes off as if you are on drugs of drunk. You make no points and it doesn't seems as if you have seen the movie so it sounds really dumb. Sorry.
bazildaddy the movie has been seen by lots of ppl on here. look it up on u-tube and you can see how bad the movie is and how Ben lied about doing what he did and knows nothing of this matter to even deabte it a little.
"His attack is on the lack of freedom that is given to scientist..."
Ben Stein's argument about academic freedom is a ruse because the real agenda of the Intelligent Design movement is to pass ID off as a valid scientific theory when it has no supporting evidence and proposes no realistic way to test for design in living systems. The issue is about teaching pseudoscience - not about asking questions. ID is neocreationism at the molecular level, being passed off as a theory in science.
Now I am so confused...you actually made coherent points, didnt make the usual vague assertions and were generally somewhat pleasant and not particularly obnoxious...also, but less importantly, you seem to have changed your mind quite a bit on the topic overall. I personally do not insist you agree with me, but I do insist you think. Mission Accomplished, I suppose...curious.

Now that he has spoken, people are aware he is a fucking moron.

The difference is that no evolutionary biologist has EVER used the word macroevolution except against a creationist.
Biological evolution is biological evolution, no matter what the level.
