Amen to Red Skelton. A truly great American! I agree that every American should watch this and think about this regularly. Starting today, our 2 youngest, ages 5 and 6 will be watching this often. ( I think they'll enjoy Clem too)
This should be mandatory viewing in all schools in our country, at the onset of every day by all members of congress, and of course in the White House.
I think that they should leave leave under God in there. They are taking so much of God away from us because it offends someone.Well taking away my God offends me . I am not one who goes to church because I think that churches want one thing from me and that is money. I can pray anywhere and do. I don't tell you what to believe and what not to.You can worship as you want. that is what this country stands for and I am proud of it.
@brandirose76 You think that they should leave "Under God" in the pledge and at the same time you say that you don't force religion on to others("I don't tell tell you what to believe") - That, my dear sir/mam, is hypocritical and it is bullshit.
@B1aDK why should the words under God upset you?? do you think that is a prayer? or are you upset because the word God makes you think about what you have done in your life? "under God" in the pledge does not make it a prayer to God. so you can rest your feeble mine
@rosemarie443 Let me explain to you why it upsets me because I can assure you that it does not have anything to do with me or what I have done in my life - Actually, it has something to do with the impact religion has had and still has on the world. Religion is diversive. That is a fact if you do not believe that you have not read the bible or the Quran. Something that divides people, should NOT be in a pledge that tries to UNITE people. Its really that simple.
@B1aDK the pledge of allilgance does not divide people and it is not a prayer. it is only a statement that you will protect the USA. the pledge does not state that you have to be religious, it does not ask you to believe in God, it only askes you to protect the USA, now can you do that? the simple part of this is that you do not have to believe in anything. the pledge only asks you to protect the USA
@rosemarie443 And it is irrelevant wether or not it makes the pledge a bible(I agree with you though, it don't) It offens me because it says UNDER God, God is not great. The god of the bible is a prick and a massmurderer.
@B1aDK and why should that word offend you when it means nothing? just say the pledge and leave out the words that u do not like. is that so hard. when you say the pledge of alligence you are only saying that you will defend the USA when push comes to shove. and that is all
@rosemarie443 If the word "Under god" doesn't mean anything, why have it in the pledge anyway? Again, you are hypocritical. And how can you sit there and argue that it does not divide people, when WE ARE having a fucking argument about it? God you are stupid - But then agian, you're American, half of you are fucking mentally challenged
@B1aDK God is offensive to the lost and dying world that loves their sins so much. Either way, whether they believe or not, they WILL give account to God and hell awaits those who deny Jesus as Lord and Savior.
@B1aDK 1 Peter 2:8 says, "And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed." and 1 Corinthians 1:23 says, "But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;" To the person that "loves" their sin, they will not acknowledge God because to do so would mean they have to change their ways.
@B1aDK I am a sheep as I follow my Shepherd. Your language is uncalled for. You are a follower too. You too sir, are a sheep. The only difference is you follow your father the devil. And he is leading you straight to hell. That is ME telling you this! Of course, that is ALSO God's Word saying it too.
@B1aDK I am a slave in a sense, I serve the Lord Jesus Christ. You are a slave too. You serve your father the devil. Hell awaits you unless you repent and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior
@brianc1959 WOW you really are a big bible thumper, just what makes you think that you are correct, and can tell people if they do not believe that they are going to hell, what if there is no hell or heaven?? I believe in God and Jesus, but i think that the bible is unbelleveable, it was written by about 40 men who had ideas of their own. now can you prove to me that the bible is original item from God? you see when you push religion you can also send yourself to hell
@rosemarie443 considering I am a pastor and have been trained completely in the Bible and can attest to the infallibility of its reliability. You say you believe in Jesus? Why? Seriously, why do you believe in Jesus. If you do not believe the Bible, why would you believe that there even was a son of God called Jesus? Your very words contradict your beliefs.
@rosemarie443 You see, my God is big enough and powerful enough to breathe His Words into men to write them down for all men to know. The bible tells us to go into all the world proclaiming the gospel to every creature. That is what I do.
@brianc1959 and you see there again you made a mistake, when you said "Lord Jesus Christ" that is not one being. it is 2. and hell awaits you if you don't understand what God is all about, and try and understand
@rosemarie443 Jesus is Lord of lords, King of kings. He is One person! Where in the world do you get that He is 2? I understand who Jesus is. I can tell you have no idea whatsoever as to who He is.
@B1aDK there is no santa clause. God is real and you will face Him one day. Your soul will go to hell, a lake of fire for all eternity if you don't get right with Him.
@brianc1959 NO you are not tell this man anything but a wrapped mind. stop pushing relligion and be truthful, you only want to believe in religion so that you think that you will go to heaven. now look over your life and see all of the things that you have done wrong. pushing religioin is one of them
@brianc1959 OH, yes, yes and yes, you are another bible thumper that is trying to scare the world into your way of thinking. prove to me that the bible is correct
@rosemarie443 "scare" the world? Not at all. Just stating what the bible says. Thumping my bible? Not at all. Just reading it. "into MY way of thinking?" Not at all. Just showing what GOD Himself says. Your hatred is not towards me but towards God. I pray you get right with Him before it is too late.
@rosemarie443 and for me to "prove" the bible to you. I can't do that. Only the Holy Spirit can do that. I can "attest" to its validity but you would not believe me anyway because you refuse to acknowledge the God who created all things. Every knee will bow before God. Either do it now and receive the blessings, or do it at the Judgment and receive your eternal damnation in hell. The choice is yours. I pray you choose wisely.
@brianc1959 of course you can not prove the bible to me, because it was written byi about 40 men that had different ideas about religion. like i said I believe in God and praiy to him often, and i believe that Jesus is his son and died on the cross for my sins, and if the bible is correct then i should belleve in John 3:16 also. I have already worked my beliefs out with God, but i don't think that you have. take a course in religion at a college
@rosemarie443 I have taken many courses as I have an MDiv degree. Sounds like you have come across some very poor teaching in whatever church you attend. And for that, I am sorry. I was once a poor preacher that only told jokes and funny stories behind the pulpit. I entertained the people, but I did not properly exposit the Word of God. I am a new man now. I WILL NOT compromise God's Word again!
@brianc1959 NO you are wrong, you are trying to shove your religiion down everybody elses throat. and that does not work. I love and bellieve in God and Jesus, but i do not trust the bible. i have already got it right with God for years
@rosemarie443 You don't trust God's Holy Word? Get away from using the NIV and other perverted versions. Use KJV only. The perverted versions have taken away the diety of Christ in over 300 different places in the KJV.
@rosemarie443 again, I will say, your hatred is not towards me but towards God. Just me mentioning God's Word has offended you and yet you call yourself a Christian. Pretty sad.
@brianc1959 U posted a lot but said nothing. I believe in God & Jesus, but the bible was written by man not God or Jesus. now can U prove to me that everything in the bible is true? can U prove that what is written there is truly what God and Jesus wanted to say? or is it the ideas of 40 men, on what they think.maybe if you can prove that nothing was lost in the many translations of the bible. and U mentioning the bible did not offend me, it does not bother me at all, did i say i was a christian
@Msjudibeefl The pledge was written in 1892. Congress recognized the pledge in 1942. "Under God" was added in 1954 (or thereabouts) under Eisenhower. "Under God" was definitely and demonstrably not a part of the original Pledge.
@rosemarie443 I am not getting why you responded there is "NO significance", when you welcome his blessings anyway; this to me means the phrase is significant (means something) to you. .
@Msjudibeefl NO the phrase means nothing to me, it is part of a pledge which mean nothing really either. people say it but most do not even know what they are saying. when i went to school it meant something, and when we said it we really meant it, but there is no longer that respect in the USA
@Msjudibeefl There is nothing wrong with somebody blessing the nation in God's name privately or publicly. Just not in school. God certainly has not spoken for himself on this issue (if you have heard him in person, please explain the circumstances for us). What IS wrong (IMHO) is the government allowing the words "under god" to be used. This goes against my reading of the US Constitution, and treads on the right of both atheists and thos who believe in more than one god (eg. Hindus).
trknangel... you're too much of a moron to argue with.. does everything have to be about a liberal agenda... fact of the matter is liberals appreciate the sentiment of this video as much as anyone.. and more than George Bush ever did.. under his watch there was more damage done to freedoms guaranteed under the constitution than anyone in recent history.. The Patriot Act? Expressing dissent is unPatriotic, unAmerican.. really? I thought we were a nation born of dissent and opposition.. moron
It's this pledge that gave morons like you the right to spew your hatred. When we lose the Pledge of Allegiance we lose our freedoms. Liberals go back under the rock you crawled out of. Your destroying this great country and are too ignorant to see it.
@FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7 Your animosity is blatant. Shinning light on the scabbies causes them to dig because they are uncomfortable. I think that applies to you as well. This is all I have to say to you.
This whole pledge is rtarded, no one shud have to say it b4 they old enuf to kno wut it means. Also the part abt undr god is somewut pushin religion on ppl who dun care
If there is no God then why is it that after all of these years all of the best minds can not come up with how the Shroud Of Turin came about ? Or even what it is. It is a 3d image on a cloth. It is said to be the burial cloth of Christ. Not one person can prove it to be a fake.
@civilwardoc1 Wrong! It is a piece of art work from the past. Jesus was wrapped in several pieces of cloth that bound him in certain points of the body. He was not covered in his entirety, as the shroud would insinuate. Remember he wa treated as a criminal and was placed in a tomb like any other criminal of that time. Also remember that Jesus cared not for his death, but for his life. Further more, realize that the existence of Jesus does not prove the existence of God.
@Lintpocket Wrong ! Its not a piece of art work from the past. Not one sign of paint has ever been found on the cloth. How do you explain that it is a 3D image ? Try again. Don't feel bad the best minds for years and years have not been able to find out. So you think your way and well as for me it will always be the burial cloth of Christ.
@civilwardoc1 Nope, not paint, a gelatin-based substance speckled with particles of red ochre was found on it though. Also I read that the weave used on the shroud was not in existence until 1000 years after the death of Jesus. Also, if you look at the shroud you can see that there are no smudge marks like you would expect if you had carried a bloody body inside it. His hands cover his genitals, that would not happen unless the hands were bound. The shroud does not indicate any bindings there.
@Lintpocket OK, u say that the existence of Jesus does not prove there is a God, but then how do you explain the universe. and do not give me any of this sciense crap, me and darwinman on another blog have alreadiy be arguing over this. yes Jesus was hung with other criminals, but his family got to take him down, and take him to a private tomb. NO Jesus was ready for his death because he know what he was placed on eartht to do
@rosemarie443 Yep , according to the bible he was ready for his death. My comment is still true, because he did not care about what was done with his body afterwards. He had no interest in that at all but cherished the life he lived. As for the universe, no one has a difinitive answer to that question yet but perhaps the question I would ask is....where did God come from? You will have the exact same problem attempting to answer that question. You cant get something from nothing.
And the burning question is; If we evolved, are we still evolving? And, if we are still evolving what will we be someday? Did alligators evolve from Crocodilles? Are you sure? they look alot alike. Which is the end product the toad or the frog? They look alot alike too. Im not a rocket scientist but these questions seem pertinant.
@mH8675309 yes we have evolved into the forms that we have now from the forms that GOD made us at first, because of habitate, and other things. i do not believe that crocs are alligators, but maybe they were at one time. and the toad, and the frog are 2 different species. as long as the world we live in changes we will change to live in it
not without getting myself killed , I shouldn't have said anything at all but his has to do with the formula equating , gravity ,time and how relates to E=M(c) (squared)
Evolution is still a theory. There are no proven facts to support it, just a bunch of theories. They should not teach children anything that isn't proven.
Without God, everything you know, see, taste, feel, hear or experience is meaningless. We need God back in the schools and those who don't believe are free to disbelieve. God help you!
oops he said "god" guess we better do something about it. I hate liberals because that is exactly what they would say to the great oath that we pledge to this country. Now we aren't allowed to say merry Christmas in school too. Live Free or Die
a very honorable and decent man , he lived out his life while for the most part enjoying a full or almost full compliment of Liberty . Liberty like love has to have it's flames fanned lest it go out , before the embers die vote Ron Paul in the Primary and general election of 2012
...I think someone has missed the point completely. Just drop the words "under God". Change it back to the original form and the problem goes away. No one should have a problem pleding to the U.S at that point. After all, it is a pledge to this country and not a praise to God. Also remember that religion and state are seperate. With that, I add that IMO, religeon has no place in the PUBLIC EDUCATION SYSTEM.
@Lintpocket well if religion can not be taught in school then darwin's theory and the cause of evolution should not be taught either. a child should learn both sides of the program. at the beging of the USA state and religion were not seperated that has only come into play in the last years. now i am going to add IMO religion should still be taught along with evolution in school
@rosemarie443 Just keep in mind that the bible was written by man, inspired by, & limited to his own perception. Written by the same man that thought the world was flat.
Evolution can be seen at a cellular level, like mutating viruses. It's science, the same science that was held back by the church for centuries. Yes, evolution is theory, but gravity is too. Gravity exists, & we do know this, what causes it is a theory.
My point is, Science in school, and Adam & Eve in church.
@thigginsphav i think that you have miss about half of my posts, but you picked up at least 1 or 2 of them. the bible was written by man, and we have no idea what that man had in his mind. whether it was about God or Jesus, or something that he wanted people to believe. well science is a bunch of theories that have been put out there for people to believe. if you want to get into this argument on "John Piper - Atheism: Laughable and blasphemous " where darwinman has been talking about this
@thigginsphav no they should be taught at the same time so that children can maybe understand what is going on. the scientist and the church have always been fighting.
@rosemarie443 They should not be taught at the same time. At school I was told that evolution is a just one "THEORY". Church told me, Adam & Eve is "FACT". Whether or not which one I believe in, it was MY choice to make. By teaching religion in school, it forces other persons' belief system on children.
From what most here are stating, only should Christ be taught as fact in school, not Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, & many more. Most importantly, not the theories of science.
@thigginsphav NO both theorys should be taught at the same time one given as much time as the other. but then i don't really think that either should be taught in school these 2 theories should be taught and talked about by parents. but then most of the parents do not know much about it either. neither one of the theories are fact, all religions should be talked about, i have studied all religions, and the evolution theory for about 60 years. when i went to school they just befuldded me.
@jhunted7667 Can you provide a source of the proof. All of us may contain some of the characteristics she had. Even if we don't have the same characteristics, we still would have the characteristics of our more recent ancestors who they themselves have shared characteristics of lucy.
@TonyTheAnything can't you see that God created Primates solely to see how the bones and muscles would work together and kept refining from gibbon to ape and then he created man totally seperate as his own species and not an amalgam of collected hits and misses based on chance
@jhunted7667 Yes, my imagination enables me to see that depiction. I have this thought, maybe the species before us evolved into the image of God. Us. If God is so powerful, why can't he just create the means that lead to us without having to intervene. The laws of nature. Or why can't God be the laws of nature, that way he would have made us directly. Everything has to follow the laws of nature so in a way, everything is made in the image of God.
@jhunted7667 What's you definition of God anyways? The symmetry exist because the strings follow a law. Even though they are random, they vibrate based on the laws of the universe. Patterns emerge from randomness, you flip a coin over and over until the results are 50/50. Despite randomness, there is a symmetry in results. In my opinion, I think it makes more sense if God created/is the laws of our universe. I'm not satisfied with a simple "God did it."
@TonyTheAnything they are not random , they have a resonate frequency consistent with s,p,d,f. layout , smaller than the quark layout God is not of the flesh but of the mind , he looks into your heart and your mind without you knowing it
@rosemarie443 There is a big difference between religion and evolution. Evolution can be proven but the existence of God can not be proven. Also, when the bill of rights and the constitution were written, there is a seperation of religion and state within it. That is not something that is recent at all.
@Lintpocket No there is no difference, because neither one can be proved, because none of us were there at the time. the USA was founded on religion, that was a big part of the constitution, the right to worship where you wanted to do so. because religion had been surppressed in forgein countries. there should be no seperation, and if you think there is tell me why the people we run for president have to have the highest form of morality and have some kind of religion.
@rosemarie443 No, the USA was not founded on religion. You have the right to follow whatever religion you choose, that is all. Read the first amendment. According to the bill of rights, it makes no difference what religion you believe in, and can not be held for or against you, even if you are running for president. You can not make decisions for the whole country based on your own religious beliefs. That's a pretty good resean for seperation. As for evolution, there's tons of evidence.
@Lintpocket yes it really was, some of the people that came to the USA came here to get away from religion power. and if you will read that is why the people who wrote the declaration wanted to seperate religion from the government, but yet wanted to have a religious governing.that is why a person that runs for president has to have a perfect moral background. yes that is what everything was all about freedom of religion.
@rosemarie443 No! You are attempting to bend reality to fit your concept of it. You tell me, if I will read, HA, really? I happen to have in my possession 1 of the first 10 copies! Thats right, the missing documents, with all the signatures of the originals. They have been inside the backside of a picture frame since I was a child. The visible picture was a newspaper of the assasination of Kennedy. That was destroyed but the rest still remains in my possession. I read it many times, carefully.
@Lintpocket NO i am not tryiing to bend anything i am just telling you what this country was founded on. If you have anything like that in your possession they are forged, because there was not that many copies made of the original. well read it somemore because U are wrong. and you are also wrong about the cloth that was wrapped around the body of Jesus. go back into the bible & read on how the bodies of that time were buried. U want people to believe that U know a lot, when u real know nothing
@rosemarie443 The signatures are all there, and the bill of rights are on seperate paper from the constitution. The papers are discolored as would be expected and there is a small amount of damage to the edges. There were ten original copies all the rest were forged. Out of the 10 originals, 9 are known of. If these are not 1 of the originals then someone went through quite alot to forge them so well. As for the bible and the shroud, the shroud is never mentioned, only pieces of linen are.
@Lintpocket Yes It does mention the cloth. It says when they looked into the empty tomb the burial cloth was folded very neat and placed to the side. There was a program just on the History Channel. It said they are back to square one on the Shroud. They can't understand how the image is in 3d. Can you explain to me a 3d image on a cloth that old ? You will never change my mind. Until they can prove to me its not.
@civilwardoc1 Luke 24:12 ( Then arose Peter, and ran onto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which came to pass) linen clothes (plural) no mention of being neatly folded but just laying there.
@Lintpocket well i hope that what you have is real, but 1 problem there were not that many copies made, why don't you take them to a pawn shop and have them looked over to see if they are real. wll forgeries happen. as for the shroud, please go back and read how people of that time frame were buried. Jesus was not buried that way because he was something special, but because that was the way people were buried back then. Jesus knew what was going to happen to his body, so he was not worried
@rosemarie443 Read Luke 24;12 and again in John 20;6 and John 20;7. In both cases there is mention of linen clothes (plural) also in John is mention that a napkin that was about the head of Jesus was not laying with the linen clothes, but was wrapped together in a place by itself. Both accounts straight from the Holy Bible would imply that the shroud of turin is biblically insufficient.
@Lintpocket is there any post by me that said there was not linen cloth? i believe that you are preaching to the wrong person. but i will tell y0u again, the bible was written by man and we can only hope that their accounting of things were true
@rosemarie443 You must be confused, 3 of your post to me have mentioned the shroud. You said I was wrong about it, I gave you scripture to corroborate what I claimed. Whether the Bible was interpretated correctly or not, it is the written account we have to go on. If you can dismiss part of its writtings for that reason, then you can dismiss the entire book for the same reason.
@Lintpocket there was a piece of cloth found and the media called it a shroud. now you talk to them about that. like i said is there any post by me where i said that there was not a linen cloth, that the media called a shroud. like i said i think that you are posting to the wrong person, because i have never stated that there was not a shroud. now can you prove to me that the bible is correct, what proof do you have? NO the first part of the bible has some correct statements,
The original pledge is perfectly fine. The words "my flag" were changed at a later time to " "the flag of the United States of America". This also is just fine. In 1954 the words "under God" were added. This should never have been allowed in the first place. Pledging to your country is honorable but turning that pledge into a religous praise is completely wrong. Back then, you either said the pledge or you were punished. That's unconstitutional. Since 2001, you are not obligated to pledge.......
I really love this, even as a Liberal. Too bad I won't share it due to the ImgnNoLibs title this starts with. I fought in a foreign war along side many Conservatives. We depended on each other, none more or less than the other. We were fighting for the same P;edge of Allegiance this wonderfull man so eloquently states. Even from a Liberal family I loved saying this pledge as I grew up. Sadly, I have to see a header in the beginning of this, separating our people more and more. ImgnNoLibs, bad.
I love how Red Skelton Explained this ! Schools should get back to saying the Pledge Of Allengiace everyday . Like they did when I was in School . God Bless America !
Red Skelton didn't 't know anything about the pledge. The pledge is insignificant and has been made into a national treasure. Go to Wikipedia and look it up. It was written by a socialist named Francis Bellamy for the Youth's Companion magazine to sell flags to school houses back in 1892. The pledge was printed in this kids magazine to recite. The founding fathers would disapprove of people pledging their "allegiance". They were for the government serving the people, not vice versa.
@YoDudeRock well you are wrong. the pledge has been rewritten 4 times. and the forfather wanted it, that is why it was rewritten the second time. the pledge of alligence has nothing to do with you is serving our country, at this time congress is serving themselves and ignoring the people.
@rosemarie443 I am absolutely right. The founding fathers adopted the Constitution in 1787. Francis Bellamy wrote the Pledge of Allegiance in 1892, more than 100 years later. The founding fathers couldn't have "wanted it", because they weren't even alive in the same era, but I know they wouldn't have approved if they were still around. Please look up the history of the Pledge on Wikipedia.
@YoDudeRock you sir do not have a clue as to what went on.there were more people that are thought of as our founding fathers than the first few. i have looked up the Pledge and i spoke it everyday when i went to grade school, and you know what it has not hurt me one bit.
@rosemarie443 The founding fathers are the ones who founded our current Constitutional Republic in 1787. Only they can be called "the founding fathers", no one else. That's fine if you think pledge didn't hurt you. My point is, the pledge is not worthy of reverence. It's just mindless nationalistic flag and government worship. If you want to do something worthwhile, study the original intent of the founding fathers, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.
@YoDudeRock you are wrong, because there were founding fathers in 1776, as well, yes the pledge has not hurt me one bit because it is just a bunch of words unless you want to believe in them. which i do. the fact is that the government has taken the pledge to help the people of Americ to belive in something they can not touch. the flag they can touch. sir i have studied all of those documents more than you want to know.
@rosemarie443 - Just to get back to the original idea...The author of the pledge of allegiance, Francis Bellamy was a socialist, was not a founding father and wrote the pledge more than a hundred years after any founding fathers.
@YoDudeRock sir i already know all of those things, i believe if ou go back about 30 pages you will find out that we have already argued about this. and i hate to repeat myself. but you see the congress of our country, saw fit to make those words a part of the USA. so they are our founding fathers also. every person that serves in congress are our founding fathers, they are supposed to serve the people
Red's death left a gaping hole in the field of comedy. The only funny stuff nowadays comes from the mouths of maher, pelosi, owebama, reid, frank, bewhore, miss chrissy matthews, biden, etc etc, ad nauseum.
" "Question with boldness even the existence of a god; because if there be one he must approve of the homage of reason more than that of blindfolded fear.
-Thomas Jefferson"
"Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity.
-Thomas Jefferson"
Like it or not, the truth is the truth. The majority of founding fathers were very secular.
@bond144, Did you ever think that when you uploaded Red Skelton saying the "Pledge of a Allegiance" that there would be sooooo much controversy? All I can say is GOD HELP OUR COUNTRY AMEN.
Whatcha think about this video "o"man and "m" woman? Can't handle it, too bad, I aint got anything to do with where you came from and how you got here. Could care less these days with you two.
America. The only country on earth that has never been under pressure. Russia- invaded then pushed back Nazis with pure will power and courage, British- Blitz killed thousands of innocents, france- taken over but the resistance fought back, vietnam- fought against invading country won. America-... Nothing. HAIL MOTHER RUSSIA , HAIL COMMUNISM
@smurfsniffer after looking at your channel your country may not be under real hard communism but there are a few countries in this world that do not like comunism. so since your country is not involved why don't you think about your country and leave mine alone
@civilwardoc1 "fartsniffer" wow... smart and mature, you Americans really have a way with humour don't you? i can tell by your name 'Civilwardoc' that you are a flag waver, bashing any other ideal because its not your own. But onto the topic of political ideals, the reason why Communism failed is because a) Russia is one of the most brutal countries in the world, you Americans could learn a thing or two b) the West refused to trade, which crippled the Soviet movement.
@civilwardoc1 Again, "Fartsniiffer", just shows American intelligence doesn't it? two i's, still stale humour, ever heard or irony ,sarcasm? No. I'm not surprised. I'm reasonably impressed with the smart and well thought out responses i have received, that challenges and questions , to them I thank you. But to you, i believe that you really have no idea what you are talking about, i think you believe what you hear,no matter where its from, ever thought to question? to ask?
Respond to this video... The reason they built a wall was due to the uncertainness between the two allied armies, the people that left were shot as they most likely were spies, and I'm quite sorry to lose my temper but, you stupid in bred retard, there has never been ,in recorded history, a conflict between the USSR and the USA, get your facts right. Also, "the only commie is a dead commie" the word is Communist, and this finally shows how much American tolerance spans.
@civilwardoc1 look, i don't wish to fill this page with my belief and your... well I'm not to sure, but if you wish to continue please send it as a message.
@civilwardoc1 Last thing, you are an idiot, i say this out of fact here are a few quotes "Hey " FARTSNIFFER".... "you can try and sale your crap to someone else"..."GO AND RUN TO YOUR MOMMY LITTLE COMMIE". you are so SO stupid its unbelievable
@civilwardoc1 we receive no funding or food from America we dont fucking need it! oh so you actually been to Africa? hhmm? do you even know where it is you retarded hick? how about we some over some fucking english teachers you need them more than we do.
@civilwardoc1 DO YOU EVEN HAVE A FUCKING JOB? YOU ARE ACTUALLY GOING TO GO THROUGH ALL THAT?! JUST BECUASE OF WHAT SOMEONE SAID ON YOUTUBE, JESUS GROW THE FUCK UP
@civilwardoc1 i was thinking about making a list of all your errors but i would easily run over the 500 word limit. yes you made a generalization of my people from one person. that's racism, you fucking low life, now referring to my previous statement, grow the fuck up and get a life.
@civilwardoc1 yes i did read it. i found it such a weak and unstable point that i refused to acknowledge it with an answer. i see you said 'talk' yes i did talk to others and they made good points, but honestly you have proven that you bash people to the point actually calling them terrorists, i personally believe that is wrong.
@civilwardoc1 Well, if you said that earlier i would have respected your view, seeing as i thought you were some 13 year old cry baby, but now i see that you were just standing up for what you thought was right, but maybe next time be slightly more grammatical and less sweary... oh one last thing... victory to the commies
@smurfsniffer your words "victory to the commies" if you feel that way leave this country, and if you do not live in the USA then shut you +_)(*&^& mouth
@rosemarie443 im quite sure your mean fucking, I'm am mature enough to understand swear words thank you, also why? I'm speaking my mind, isn't that what you americans pride yourself in?
@smurfsniffer NO sir i did not mean that, there are several other swear words in out language. i do not use that kind of language on the internet, because all of your comments are going to be saved for 30 years.
@rosemarie443 my comments will be saved for 30 years eh?.....why should i give a single fuck? you have a false email addresses that i use for spam....... if you think that actually would scare me in the slightest then you are sorely mistaken. in fact this gives me more strength, knowing that even in a 3rd world country my life is still ten times your ever will be
@rosemarie443 i dont care what john lucich has to say, i really dont give two shits that your threatening me by private messages, this is youtube, you cant do shit.
@smurfsniffer 1- i did not send you a private message, i only answered the message that you sent to me. 2- if you want to call me telling you what you tube is going to do with your posts a threat then i know for sure that you do live in the USA. it was not a threat, it was advise, but you take it for what ever you want to do so. people do monitor you tube also, it is just like all the other blogs.
Amen to Red Skelton. A truly great American! I agree that every American should watch this and think about this regularly. Starting today, our 2 youngest, ages 5 and 6 will be watching this often. ( I think they'll enjoy Clem too)

B1aDK 1 week ago
@B1aDK why should the words under God upset you?? do you think that is a prayer? or are you upset because the word God makes you think about what you have done in your life? "under God" in the pledge does not make it a prayer to God. so you can rest your feeble mine

B1aDK 1 week ago
@rosemarie443 Let me explain to you why it upsets me because I can assure you that it does not have anything to do with me or what I have done in my life - Actually, it has something to do with the impact religion has had and still has on the world. Religion is diversive. That is a fact if you do not believe that you have not read the bible or the Quran. Something that divides people, should NOT be in a pledge that tries to UNITE people. Its really that simple.
B1aDK 1 week ago
@B1aDK the pledge of allilgance does not divide people and it is not a prayer. it is only a statement that you will protect the USA. the pledge does not state that you have to be religious, it does not ask you to believe in God, it only askes you to protect the USA, now can you do that? the simple part of this is that you do not have to believe in anything. the pledge only asks you to protect the USA
rosemarie443 1 week ago
@rosemarie443 And it is irrelevant wether or not it makes the pledge a bible(I agree with you though, it don't) It offens me because it says UNDER God, God is not great. The god of the bible is a prick and a massmurderer.
B1aDK 1 week ago
@B1aDK and why should that word offend you when it means nothing? just say the pledge and leave out the words that u do not like. is that so hard. when you say the pledge of alligence you are only saying that you will defend the USA when push comes to shove. and that is all

B1aDK 5 days ago
@B1aDK 1 Peter 2:8 says, "And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed." and 1 Corinthians 1:23 says, "But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;" To the person that "loves" their sin, they will not acknowledge God because to do so would mean they have to change their ways.

rosemarie443 3 days ago
@rosemarie443 considering I am a pastor and have been trained completely in the Bible and can attest to the infallibility of its reliability. You say you believe in Jesus? Why? Seriously, why do you believe in Jesus. If you do not believe the Bible, why would you believe that there even was a son of God called Jesus? Your very words contradict your beliefs.
brianc1959 3 days ago
@rosemarie443 You see, my God is big enough and powerful enough to breathe His Words into men to write them down for all men to know. The bible tells us to go into all the world proclaiming the gospel to every creature. That is what I do.

brianc1959 4 days ago
@rosemarie443 and for me to "prove" the bible to you. I can't do that. Only the Holy Spirit can do that. Either do it now and receive the blessings, or do it at the Judgment and receive your eternal damnation in hell. The choice is yours. I pray you choose wisely.
brianc1959 4 days ago
@brianc1959 of course you can not prove the bible to me, because it was written byi about 40 men that had different ideas about religion. like i said I believe in God and praiy to him often, and i believe that Jesus is his son and died on the cross for my sins, and if the bible is correct then i should belleve in John 3:16 also. The "God crap" does have significance here!
Msjudibeefl 3 weeks ago
@Msjudibeefl NO it has no significance at all. it does not make the Pledge a prayer, it only means that you want the UISA to be blessed.
rosemarie443 3 weeks ago

rosemarie443 3 weeks ago
@Msjudibeefl The pledge was written in 1892. Congress recognized the pledge in 1942. "Under God" was added in 1954 (or thereabouts) under Eisenhower. "Under God" was definitely and demonstrably not a part of the original Pledge.

rosemarie443 3 weeks ago
@rosemarie443 I am not getting why you responded there is "NO significance", when you welcome his blessings anyway; this to me means the phrase is significant (means something) to you. .
Msjudibeefl 3 weeks ago
@Msjudibeefl NO the phrase means nothing to me, it is part of a pledge which mean nothing really either. people say it but most do not even know what they are saying. when i went to school it meant something, and when we said it we really meant it, but there is no longer that respect in the USA
rosemarie443 3 weeks ago
@Msjudibeefl There is nothing wrong with somebody blessing the nation in God's name privately or publicly. Just not in school. God certainly has not spoken for himself on this issue (if you have heard him in person, please explain the circumstances for us). What IS wrong (IMHO) is the government allowing the words "under god" to be used. This goes against my reading of the US Constitution, and treads on the right of both atheists and thos who believe in more than one god (eg. Hindus).

If there is no God then why is it that after all of these years all of the best minds can not come up with how the Shroud Of Turin came about ? Or even what it is. It is a 3d image on a cloth. It is said to be the burial cloth of Christ. Not one person can prove it to be a fake.
civilwardoc1 1 month ago
@civilwardoc1 Wrong! It is a piece of art work from the past. Jesus was wrapped in several pieces of cloth that bound him in certain points of the body. He was not covered in his entirety, as the shroud would insinuate. Remember he wa treated as a criminal and was placed in a tomb like any other criminal of that time. Also remember that Jesus cared not for his death, but for his life. Further more, realize that the existence of Jesus does not prove the existence of God.
Lintpocket 1 month ago
@Lintpocket Wrong ! Its not a piece of art work from the past. Not one sign of paint has ever been found on the cloth. How do you explain that it is a 3D image ? Try again. Don't feel bad the best minds for years and years have not been able to find out. So you think your way and well as for me it will always be the burial cloth of Christ.
civilwardoc1 1 month ago
@civilwardoc1 Nope, not paint, a gelatin-based substance speckled with particles of red ochre was found on it though. Also I read that the weave used on the shroud was not in existence until 1000 years after the death of Jesus. Also, if you look at the shroud you can see that there are no smudge marks like you would expect if you had carried a bloody body inside it. His hands cover his genitals, that would not happen unless the hands were bound. The shroud does not indicate any bindings there.
Lintpocket 1 month ago
@Lintpocket OK, u say that the existence of Jesus does not prove there is a God, but then how do you explain the universe. and do not give me any of this sciense crap, me and darwinman on another blog have alreadiy be arguing over this. yes Jesus was hung with other criminals, but his family got to take him down, and take him to a private tomb. NO Jesus was ready for his death because he know what he was placed on eartht to do
rosemarie443 1 month ago

@mH8675309 yes we have evolved into the forms that we have now from the forms that GOD made us at first, because of habitate, and other things. i do not believe that crocs are alligators, but maybe they were at one time. and the toad, and the frog are 2 different species. as long as the world we live in changes we will change to live in it

...I think someone has missed the point completely.
Lintpocket 1 month ago
@Lintpocket well if religion can not be taught in school then darwin's theory and the cause of evolution should not be taught either. a child should learn both sides of the program. at the beging of the USA state and religion were not seperated that has only come into play in the last years. now i am going to add IMO religion should still be taught along with evolution in school
rosemarie443 1 month ago
@rosemarie443 Just keep in mind that the bible was written by man, inspired by, & limited to his own perception. Written by the same man that thought the world was flat.
Evolution can be seen at a cellular level, like mutating viruses. It's science, the same science that was held back by the church for centuries. Yes, evolution is theory, but gravity is too. Gravity exists, & we do know this, what causes it is a theory.
My point is, Science in school, and Adam & Eve in church.
thigginsphav 1 month ago
@thigginsphav i think that you have miss about half of my posts, but you picked up at least 1 or 2 of them. the bible was written by man, and we have no idea what that man had in his mind. whether it was about God or Jesus, or something that he wanted people to believe. well science is a bunch of theories that have been put out there for people to believe. if you want to get into this argument on "John Piper - Atheism: Laughable and blasphemous " where darwinman has been talking about this
rosemarie443 1 month ago
@thigginsphav no they should be taught at the same time so that children can maybe understand what is going on. the scientist and the church have always been fighting.
rosemarie443 1 month ago
@rosemarie443 They should not be taught at the same time. At school I was told that evolution is a just one "THEORY". Church told me, Adam & Eve is "FACT". Whether or not which one I believe in, it was MY choice to make. By teaching religion in school, it forces other persons' belief system on children.
From what most here are stating, only should Christ be taught as fact in school, not Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, & many more. Most importantly, not the theories of science.
thigginsphav 1 month ago
@thigginsphav NO both theorys should be taught at the same time one given as much time as the other. but then i don't really think that either should be taught in school these 2 theories should be taught and talked about by parents. but then most of the parents do not know much about it either. neither one of the theories are fact, all religions should be talked about, i have studied all religions, and the evolution theory for about 60 years. when i went to school they just befuldded me.

jhunted7667 1 month ago
@jhunted7667 Yes, my imagination enables me to see that depiction. I have this thought, maybe the species before us evolved into the image of God. Us. If God is so powerful, why can't he just create the means that lead to us without having to intervene. The laws of nature. Or why can't God be the laws of nature, that way he would have made us directly. Everything has to follow the laws of nature so in a way, everything is made in the image of God.

@TonyTheAnything everyone says string theory is random but it is not , it has such symmetry such beauty it has to be a creation of God ,
jhunted7667 1 month ago
@jhunted7667 What's you definition of God anyways? The symmetry exist because the strings follow a law. Even though they are random, they vibrate based on the laws of the universe. Patterns emerge from randomness, you flip a coin over and over until the results are 50/50. Despite randomness, there is a symmetry in results. In my opinion, I think it makes more sense if God created/is the laws of our universe. I'm not satisfied with a simple "God did it."

@rosemarie443 There is a big difference between religion and evolution. Evolution can be proven but the existence of God can not be proven. Also, when the bill of rights and the constitution were written, there is a seperation of religion and state within it. That is not something that is recent at all.
Lintpocket 1 month ago
@Lintpocket No there is no difference, because neither one can be proved, because none of us were there at the time. the USA was founded on religion, that was a big part of the constitution, the right to worship where you wanted to do so. because religion had been surppressed in forgein countries. there should be no seperation, and if you think there is tell me why the people we run for president have to have the highest form of morality and have some kind of religion.
rosemarie443 1 month ago
@rosemarie443 No, the USA was not founded on religion. You have the right to follow whatever religion you choose, that is all. Read the first amendment. According to the bill of rights, it makes no difference what religion you believe in, and can not be held for or against you, even if you are running for president. You can not make decisions for the whole country based on your own religious beliefs. That's a pretty good resean for seperation. As for evolution, there's tons of evidence.
Lintpocket 1 month ago
@Lintpocket yes it really was, some of the people that came to the USA came here to get away from religion power. and if you will read that is why the people who wrote the declaration wanted to seperate religion from the government, but yet wanted to have a religious governing.that is why a person that runs for president has to have a perfect moral background. yes that is what everything was all about freedom of religion.

U want people to believe that U know a lot, when u real know nothing
rosemarie443 1 month ago
@rosemarie443 The signatures are all there, and the bill of rights are on seperate paper from the constitution. The papers are discolored as would be expected and there is a small amount of damage to the edges. There were ten original copies all the rest were forged. Out of the 10 originals, 9 are known of. If these are not 1 of the originals then someone went through quite alot to forge them so well. As for the bible and the shroud, the shroud is never mentioned, only pieces of linen are.
Lintpocket 1 month ago
@Lintpocket Yes It does mention the cloth. It says when they looked into the empty tomb the burial cloth was folded very neat and placed to the side. There was a program just on the History Channel. It said they are back to square one on the Shroud. They can't understand how the image is in 3d. Can you explain to me a 3d image on a cloth that old ? You will never change my mind. Until they can prove to me its not.
civilwardoc1 1 month ago
@civilwardoc1 Luke 24:12 ( Then arose Peter, and ran onto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which came to pass) linen clothes (plural) no mention of being neatly folded but just laying there.
Lintpocket 1 month ago
@Lintpocket well i hope that what you have is real, but 1 problem there were not that many copies made, why don't you take them to a pawn shop and have them looked over to see if they are real. wll forgeries happen. as for the shroud, please go back and read how people of that time frame were buried. Jesus was not buried that way because he was something special, but because that was the way people were buried back then. Jesus knew what was going to happen to his body, so he was not worried
rosemarie443 1 month ago
@rosemarie443 Read Luke 24;12 and again in John 20;6 and John 20;7. In both cases there is mention of linen clothes (plural) also in John is mention that a napkin that was about the head of Jesus was not laying with the linen clothes, but was wrapped together in a place by itself. Both accounts straight from the Holy Bible would imply that the shroud of turin is biblically insufficient.
Lintpocket 1 month ago
@Lintpocket is there any post by me that said there was not linen cloth? i believe that you are preaching to the wrong person. but i will tell y0u again, the bible was written by man and we can only hope that their accounting of things were true
rosemarie443 1 month ago
@rosemarie443 You must be confused, 3 of your post to me have mentioned the shroud. You said I was wrong about it, I gave you scripture to corroborate what I claimed. Whether the Bible was interpretated correctly or not, it is the written account we have to go on. If you can dismiss part of its writtings for that reason, then you can dismiss the entire book for the same reason.
Lintpocket 4 weeks ago
@Lintpocket there was a piece of cloth found and the media called it a shroud. now you talk to them about that. like i said is there any post by me where i said that there was not a linen cloth, that the media called a shroud. like i said i think that you are posting to the wrong person, because i have never stated that there was not a shroud. now can you prove to me that the bible is correct, what proof do you have? NO the first part of the bible has some correct statements,
rosemarie443 4 weeks ago
@Lintpocket Just read John 3:16

@Lintpocket Agreed.

The Pledge of Allegiance is unconstitutional.

America, oh beautiful America, what has happened to you? You are now a corrupt imperial power,
AR15DAN 1 month ago
Red Skelton didn't 't know anything about the pledge. The pledge is insignificant and has been made into a national treasure. Go to Wikipedia and look it up. It was written by a socialist named Francis Bellamy for the Youth's Companion magazine to sell flags to school houses back in 1892. The pledge was printed in this kids magazine to recite. The founding fathers would disapprove of people pledging their "allegiance". They were for the government serving the people, not vice versa.
YoDudeRock 1 month ago
@YoDudeRock well you are wrong. the pledge has been rewritten 4 times. and the forfather wanted it, that is why it was rewritten the second time. the pledge of alligence has nothing to do with you is serving our country, at this time congress is serving themselves and ignoring the people.
rosemarie443 1 month ago
@rosemarie443 I am absolutely right. The founding fathers adopted the Constitution in 1787. Francis Bellamy wrote the Pledge of Allegiance in 1892, more than 100 years later. The founding fathers couldn't have "wanted it", because they weren't even alive in the same era, but I know they wouldn't have approved if they were still around. Please look up the history of the Pledge on Wikipedia.
YoDudeRock 1 month ago
@YoDudeRock you sir do not have a clue as to what went on.there were more people that are thought of as our founding fathers than the first few. i have looked up the Pledge and i spoke it everyday when i went to grade school, and you know what it has not hurt me one bit.
rosemarie443 1 month ago
@rosemarie443 The founding fathers are the ones who founded our current Constitutional Republic in 1787. Only they can be called "the founding fathers", no one else. That's fine if you think pledge didn't hurt you. My point is, the pledge is not worthy of reverence. It's just mindless nationalistic flag and government worship. If you want to do something worthwhile, study the original intent of the founding fathers, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.
YoDudeRock 1 month ago
@YoDudeRock you are wrong, because there were founding fathers in 1776, as well, yes the pledge has not hurt me one bit because it is just a bunch of words unless you want to believe in them. which i do. the fact is that the government has taken the pledge to help the people of Americ to belive in something they can not touch. the flag they can touch. sir i have studied all of those documents more than you want to know.
rosemarie443 1 month ago
@rosemarie443 - Just to get back to the original idea...The author of the pledge of allegiance, Francis Bellamy was a socialist, was not a founding father and wrote the pledge more than a hundred years after any founding fathers.
YoDudeRock 1 month ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@YoDudeRock sir i already know all of those things, i believe if ou go back about 30 pages you will find out that we have already argued about this. and i hate to repeat myself. but you see the congress of our country, saw fit to make those words a part of the USA. so they are our founding fathers also. every person that serves in congress are our founding fathers, they are supposed to serve the people

" "Question with boldness even the existence of a god; because if there be one he must approve of the homage of reason more than that of blindfolded fear.
