You can't count Federer out. His game is so good that even when he's at his worst, he can still make it to a grand slam final.Form is temporary; class is permanent.
If Nadal wins this he will be Number 1,which i think is highly likely considering his form and winning streak atm.
As for Federer,i think its too little too late,he will probably remain a top three player but his time is up and the other players now know this and will more than likely take advantage of his present bad form...
I'm happy you said bad form because despite his bad form he's managed to make the semis in Australia despite his mono and lost in the finals of the French and Wimbledon.
I bet ya Roddick would die for bad form like that or James "no grand slam semis in his resume but still in the top 10"Blake!
I meant his more recent bad form, like going out of rogers masters second round and third round in cincinnati...that is not Roger's top play so it is bad FOR HIM and he knows that himself and has openly admitted it.
I think he is still playing well anyway which is why i said if Nadal wins this Federer will still stay in top 3 for ages,he just isnt playing good for him at the moment, surely you agree with that!?
i dont think he's ready to accept a change of guard...which for the time being has occured..and i give full credit to nadal for tht inspite of not liking his game and being an avid fan of federer. he desperately wants a career slam and the pressure is cracking him up.we could see wht happened in hamburg when he blew up his chances..at the French Open where Nadal was brilliant..federer didnt play at all. even nadal's uncle said he couldnt believe wht he saw.
I think Federer's problem is no longer Nadal..his biggest opponent now is himself..I dont know wht his aims are but he really has to sort himself out...he's cracking up..trying to do too much..he has now equalled almost every record in tennis ..but i think breaking the records is creating pressure on him coz he expects too much out of himself..so much so tht when he fails he isnt able to get over it..i also think he wants to break pete's record at no 1 in one go..and tht a bit unrealistic.
I'm so gutted that Federer went out. He didn't play badly and lost on a tiebreak. Hopefully he can get back his confidence at the Olympics and then win the US Open.

You mean, it's uninteresting for your role in the cyberspace. When I think it from that perspective, I agree.
