hi joerg ich finde das wideo und die vorstellung das teill in groß zuhsehen sofastzinirend das ich stendig dran denken mus naja lange kurtzer sin als ich heute die garage auf gereumt habe, habe ich velgen von schubkarren in die fingerbekommen und muste an deinen auslösemichanismus denken. German engineering, there are few that can match it.

I think in the olden days before gun-powder came along you'd be a commanders go-to-guy for the latest slingshot inventions and developments!

Now what you need also is an old scrap car or maybe a wrecked light-tank to test-fire it against!!

I know sling shots are your thing, and I respect that, but at this point why not use a torsion technique used by seige machines of old?

@MrDeadly25 I think rubber is much more efficient than torsion stuff, the medieval weapon designers would no doubts have used it heavily if it would have been known back then. I believe that modern rubber is the ideal energy storage medium for muscle powered weapons.

On the full scale, you must make sure the sled and 2 rails are as smooth as possible with the current design to avoid splintering and cracks in the wood making small dangerous cracks and fractures.

i recommend switching the sled/rail's glide system to a coaster system

(think of the small tracks on a roller coaster), i can care to elaborate farther if you want with ideas and concept drawings based on your current mock-up.

@JoergSprave Hey I wonder if Kip did that because I posted on his page telling him to go look at some REAL SLINGSHOTS on your page? Though to be honest I think a tiny company here in Texas was first. I think it is/was called "Cat's Eye" they were first to do the laser slingshot thing. They had the laser mounted on a gimbal along with the bands and it was EXTREMELY accurate. I saw a guy buy one at a gun show then went out in the parking garage and hit a pigeon on the 2nd shot.
