Thanks for posting this song. Elliott was one of the most musically talented humans to ever grace this planet. Every song he wrote, played, and sang contained 100% of his heart and soul.
I love this song it was the first new song I heard after I thought I had heard everything I felt exactly the same way you are feeling right now, I felt like crying the first time I heard this it affected me that much there's no feeling on earth like hearing Elliott sing straight to you. No problem about uploading it I appreciate the support but the thanks should go to Elliott :P I have some other stuff you might not have heard check my channel I even have some of his high school band's stuff :)
I love discovering these rare songs left behind by Elliott. After listening to most all of his discography a hundred times over, hearing these special live songs feels so fresh and new, almost as if he's still writing somewhere out there.
I love playing your songs on guitar Elliott, they feel so true and honest.
@gordonw01 Agreed, Eliott for me is one of the best artists ever, The Beatles, the BEST band ever. Eliott would agree... @oliveangekms saying you hate them was desnecessary.
Did this man ever write a bad song? This one really touches the heart. So beautiful, and so sincere. And ended with his usual humble "thanks." No, thank YOU, Elliott.
@Malocclusiontenfour Everything he wrote was just amazing it's such a shame he isn't regarded on a par with the like of Lennon and McCartney Either/Or and From a Basement kill anything The Beatles did IMO
@StelliosHolmes What saddens me is so many people haven't even heard of him. I look at that 50 Greatest Rock Stars issue that Rolling Stone reprints now and then, and think: Did he actually exist? Or was he a figment of my imagination?
@Malocclusiontenfour@Malocclusiontenfour It's so annoying like I try to explain to my friends about him when they're talking about Dave Grohl or Josh Homme or Gary "Tit face" Barlow or even shitty Lifehouse and they just look at me blankly and are like well I've never hear of him so he must be shit and then I play a track and they don't listen it's like 5 seconds in I don't like his voice, the tune is boring....
@StelliosHolmes I remember reading something about when Elliott released Roman Candle his girlfriend at the time was plugging the album to all of her friends who said it was awful boring repetitive and then she gave it to them again after they had broken up with someone and they were saying how he was the next dylan and how poetic it was and they'd never heard anything like it people are a funny breed they don't know what's good for them until they need it......
@StelliosHolmes I try to turn others on to him, but they just act like he's my latest obsession. (He is, but I prefer the term "mad passion.") People have such short attention spans it's pathetic.
@Malocclusiontenfour I think Elliott is different from any other artist in that respect though you have to relate to him to get his music that's why when people are in a dark place they will listen but otherwise they don't people like you and I we get it all year round 365 days a year cause we relate to itone day everyone will understand how good he was and the funny thing will be just like when they should Roman candle to those people they'll act like they lvoed it all along XO
@StelliosHolmes i am a big fan of ES but its ridiculous to say his stuff is better than the beatles, who were his favourite band and from whom he took a lot of influence
@beetol86 I'm not saying he is universlly better than The Beatles it's all subjective I'm just saying to me he is better than the beatles but then again there would be no Smith without the beatles in the same way there would be no pixies without the velvet underground so it's all kind of swings and roundabouts but my main arguement was as a musician and a songwriter Elliott should be regarded as highly as Lennon and McCartney
@StelliosHolmes he is regarded as highly as lennon, just less well known. i think it makes him more special because if you find someone who likes elliot, it is a LOT more special than finding someone who knows who the beatles are.
@Malocclusiontenfour I love that too that awkward thanks, I love his little "Thanks I love you too" when someone would shout out from the crowd :) I remember at the 1999 Yo-Yo a Go-Go when he was leaving the stage he did this awkward half wave thing as he left and the crowd was going crazy that just summed up Elliott fo rme in one half lift of the hand
@Grungekiid No problem I have lots more alternate versions with different lyrics to put up as well over the next few weeks, but I know what you mean this is such a good song definately one that stops you in your tracks such a shame he never recorded it but then again this is a pretty flawless performance.........
@StelliosHolmes I have seen very few Elliott shows that weren't flawless. I actually listened to this, and started writing a new song after it was over.
@Grungekiid Really? That's awesome I remember the first time I heard it, it inspired me to write poetry something I hadn't done in a long time nothing gets the imagination flowing like hearing a new Elliott song
@Grungekiid I totaly get that too there's never been another artist that I can relate to so intimately like that and I don't think there ever will so much talent and he was such a humble guy, he really saved so many people it's just a shame that he couldn't save himself :(
@Grungekiid Yeah of course i get it thing is though it's like Elliott said its all about figuring put how to be a person and if you can find that then you'll be fine
The only thing that is missing is a friend to listen with. = ( !!!

@oliveangekms If it wasn't for the Beatles,Eliott wouldn't have turned out the musician he did.
Not sure why you have to mention you hate them anyway ??
Why not just say you like Eliott ??

@beetol86 i don't know why. he's right it is subjective. elliott had more relevance with his subjects than the beatles did. again... my opinion.
