And I read the books after seeing the movie, and still could not picture KS as Bella in my mind. but damage is done, so hopefully she will get some coaching between Eclipse and Breaking dawn.....hopefully.
kristin is such a crappy actress, every movie i have ever seen her act in is the exact same...she has no depth to anything she says and she always has the same confused look on her face(watch all her expressions in Twilight, her mouth is constantly open) she deff doesnt play the part of Bella very well, Bella is supp to be warm and kristin is annoying and tries too hard...she needs to get her act together or else shes going to ruin the next couple movies...

Ok, the two things I hated about Kristen Stewart as Bella are:
1) Her facial expressions look way too similar the whole movie. Like a frozen mask or sth.
2) The batting of her eyelashes looks like the key character of Bella.
Other than that, I thought that both Edward and Bella lacked some personality, like, the directors could have picked more successful dialogues. So the actors had to work with what they had and if you look at it from this perspective than Kristen is as good as she could be.

Kristen usually plays sullen characters anyway and so Bella's character was no different to the other roles she had done before in her indie films. I think she was a great if not perfect fit for Bella.
Really i love the bella they picked. i was reading on steph's site the rough copy to MidnightSun the way Ed was looking at her, the way her chin was cut, the color of her eyes, her frail frame. That's how Stewart was in the movie. they just need to back off, i loved Bella!! she rox, but the whole part where she took Edward from me... still mad.
i think obviosly our imagination is a lot better than a movie, it would be awsome if someone make a movie about everything that i pictured of the movie, but it is impossible!! not everyone thinks the same so i think she played it well but she can do better in the next movies
kristen stewart is AMAZING!!! i wuz soooo happy when she got picked coz she wuz my first choice! her personality is usually a sort of girl who keeps to herself but has a pain that she hides (ex. in "Speak" she wuz raped and called the cops, yadda yadda yadda).
you're right with the fact that Kristen has just one personality for all the characters that she has been played in all movies.. and that's the only thing that i really don't like about her like as an real actress! but she's a good Bella, at least almost in all the movie! lol
I have to be honest: When I was reading the books, I didn't really picture any specific actors for the characters. I think they chose a good Bella tho. My only thing with Kristin (and feel free to disagree) is that she delivers a lot of her lines the same way, so it makes some scenes boring to listen to her. But other than that, I think she played a great Bella. When they first announced who was Edward, I didn't think it was a good choice, but he turned out to make a good Edward as well.

Because she has no talent. Her and the main male character are very stiff and unbelievable without the constant use of camera rotating etc.. I mean how hard can it be to play a selfish, vain, infatuated character!
The main plus was that there were some very good supporting actors. We can only hope that the male and female leads eat some bad food or something that would put them in a coma for just long enough to necessitate them being replaced in sequel movies.

(and Keira is not a one-sided actress {u havn't seen as many keira movies as i have}) Kristen is a better actor than Rob or any of the others. she is prefect as Bella because she is a normal teen girl which is what Bella is. Kristen can handle the love stuff with edward and all the crazy vampire drama that gets thrown at her. She was the kid in Panic Room and she was amazing! and Zuthura she was AWESOME! and she looks good in her underwear!

At 20 i don't hate on her as i've just past the teenage years of totally head over heels i'd die if he got a g/f period! I think she is a good choice for Bella and us girls as she is pretty, but not amazing, there's good chemistry with her and rob too. Girls lets focus on the true evil one... camilla bell, u rob fans know what i'm talking about. But any way i'm past all of that at age 20.... yeh right!

ok i totally agree! all my friends hate bella and i dont understand!they all say shes a hoe and stuff but i dont see it!and yes Kristin isnt the best person to play bella but i loved her perfomance in twilight and the ballet studio scene i thought she did amazing in it!!it must have been hard to play that part!i mean she had to play like she had venom flowing through her and make it feel like her wrist was on fire!!so i really think she did a good job

i've read Twilight after i saw the movie and i picture Kirsten as a good Bella. I don't uderstand why ppl say that he sucks at acting and everything I mean Bella is a hard character to play so just give her a brake. She did a good job as Bella. I think Kristen is a pretty good Bella, she could show more emotion and sometimes her voice is a little too low. Like when James smells her and Edward puts her in the car, and she's like "It's okay, I got it, I got it." or something like that. Know what I mean?

i know bella is suppose to look like an average girl but i still thought she wasnt pretty enough to play bella.well at least the way they made her look in the movie didnt make her look too pretty.Like in the movie A Walk to Remember,Mandy Moore is also a simple average girl there but she actually still manages to look very pretty even with the average look role.I felt they shouldnt have done so much to her to make her look SO plain cuz she is very pretty in her other movies and in her pictures.

Kristen usually plays sullen characters anyway and so Bella's character was no different to the other roles she had done before in her indie films. I think she was a great if not perfect fit for Bella.

Really i love the bella they picked. i was reading on steph's site the rough copy to MidnightSun the way Ed was looking at her, the way her chin was cut, the color of her eyes, her frail frame. That's how Stewart was in the movie. they just need to back off, i loved Bella!! she rox, but the whole part where she took Edward from me... still mad.

I have to be honest: When I was reading the books, I didn't really picture any specific actors for the characters. I think they chose a good Bella tho. My only thing with Kristin (and feel free to disagree) is that she delivers a lot of her lines the same way, so it makes some scenes boring to listen to her. But other than that, I think she played a great Bella. When they first announced who was Edward, I didn't think it was a good choice, but he turned out to make a good Edward as well.

Because she has no talent. Her and the main male character are very stiff and unbelievable without the constant use of camera rotating etc.. I mean how hard can it be to play a selfish, vain, infatuated character!
The main plus was that there were some very good supporting actors. We can only hope that the male and female leads eat some bad food or something that would put them in a coma for just long enough to necessitate them being replaced in sequel movies.

I think it's because they didn't spend enough time on her hair. She's a pretty girl but they should have worked more on her hair. and she got to kiss Rob, that's going to make everyone jelous. Everyone is jelous of Bella (in the book)so naturally they are going to take that out on the actress. (eye roll) The press also misquoted her and said that she said some crappy stuff about her fans so that probabally hurt her reputation.

I'm SOOO happy with this choice. I HATED bella in the book, and it's true Kristin doesn't embody the physical and vocal attributes of bella in the book very well, but i LOVE that fact. This Bella seems so much more real, she seems like somebody i might actually know.

Kristen Stewart is an amazing actress!! (and Keira is not a one-sided actress {u havn't seen as many keira movies as i have}) Kristen is a better actor than Rob or any of the others. she is prefect as Bella because she is a normal teen girl which is what Bella is. Kristen can handle the love stuff with edward and all the crazy vampire drama that gets thrown at her. She was the kid in Panic Room and she was amazing! and Zuthura she was AWESOME! and she looks good in her underwear!

When it comes to casting, well, how the hell are you going to find the perfect, skin-like-diamonds people that actually don't exist? They did the best they could.
Remember that everyone has their own version of these characters, and that there is no possible way they could know what your version looks like. Like I said first, they could have done WAY worse.
