Im seriously dissapointed with this radio. I work outdoors and it just doesnt go loud enough, its not too bad indoors, but as far as im concerned its no where near as good as a dewalt radio.
I haven't purchased this product but I have read many reviews. It's more compact then the Bosch(heavy, bulky), DeWalt(almost same weight as Makita) or Milwaukee(Heavy 22lbs). I'm still looking for a consistent review on radio reception. Radio reception can either be have a good or bad review, depends which website you read the. If you're looking for a work-site/jobsite radio that has a charger built into, look at the DeWalt DC011 or Bosch PB10.
The reception is great. We took it in a basement and didn't have any problems with reception. But again we live about 40 miles from Chicago, so we are pretty close to the transmitters. When we compared the reception to what we receive in the truck, we couldn't tell a difference.
if you wonna radio for work get 1 ov these i gt 1 yesterday ther class theyv got ryt gud bass on em n b4 i got 1 i was walkin round site n sum ppl had 1, deffinetly the best soundin radio ive ever heard !
The Makita Radio will not charge the battery. Wish it did. The battery will last 8 hours with a 1.5 Amp while the 3 Amp will last 16 hours (Running the radio)
