  • Fantastic !!!

great vocoder voice & arrangement !!!

giorgio got a new friend !

  • hey john, what great job. I love Giorgio Moroder I can remember playing his music in a Florida gay club in 1978 where I was the resident DJ. I would love to know how I can get the same voice product. can you do it with software or do you need extra hardware other than a computer. once again, great job, it's such a great cover of the original.

  • I love to hear about these memories, when I was far from being born..! Anyway that particular sound is done with a microkorg: it's a hardware virtual analog synthesizer that also has a great vocoder, now you can find it quite cheap I suppose. I tried vst vocoders, but they have a much different feel, they are more modern sounding. The microkorg vocoder has also in my opinion a much better intelligibility ( i think it's called like that.. :D).. words are more clear ;)

    Hope I've been helpful :)

  • WOW, what a great moment... Thx a lot, perfect work

  • excellent

  • Grandioso !!!

  • wicked Video matee!,If you dont mind me asking but

  • Really good man really cool

  • the baseline (that start at 0:13) is also made withe the microkorg ? how ???

  • It's the microKORG, yes! I just sequenced it, recorded it and then sung on top of it :)

  • lovely sound, can you give us the settings ? i also have a microkorg

  • lovely sound, can you give us the settings, i also have a microkorg

  • It's preset b63 with no arpeggio and with filter to minimum :P

Otherwise great job! Fuckin great, i gotta get a vocoder!

  • Brilliant ...

    Clap Clap Clap.

  • Better than the original version

  • fantastic...sounds great ..you are awesome!!

    cheers from Mexico

  • Good work, can you make a music os eiffel65 "Blue" or barcode brother "sms"

  • Genial frydchde88! The song is beautiful and your cover is GREAT!!!

    rEGARDs

  • and, if i am understanding this all right (see post directly below) do you play the note you're singing on the keyboard? sorry for my newbie questions

  • so, the notes you're playing on that (midi controller?) controls the pitches of the vocoded singing? am i understanding this right? that's how you're getting the polyphony, right? would you mind explaining what hardware and software is required to do this (not even necessarily the vocoding, i'm just interested in the idea of playing a chord on a controller while singing into a mic and having that chord result as though it were all sung)

  • Yes, the notes I play on the keyboard control the pitch of the vocoded singing.. in order to get some sound out of a vocoder you can't just sing into a mic.. as you say you must also play the notes..! The result you want (a "singing chord", right?) can easily be obtained with a vocoder..that can be software (for example Orange Vocoder) or hardware (from the moog vocoder to the ones on modern virtual analogs suchs as the microKORG or the R3.. depends on how much you want to spend!)..

  • ...I mean Moroder haha

  • Great work!! Love Morododerstuff.

  • grande :)

  • great = subscribe!!, more, bravo, more, bravo...(spoken in the voices of the old guys in the muppets)

  • Baby Moroder !

    Keep up the good work.

    Thank you for posting.

  • Do you have more videos with vocoder i love that sound! good video! what do u think about microkorg

  • I really like the microkorg.. it's just unique for it's portability and at the same time it has the same great sound as it's bigger brother, the ms2000.. the menu interface becomes also very intuitive after you use it for a while.. Of course, for serious playing I don't use the mini keys!
