I'm really sorry to see the negative comments. I hope they faired well, I am so worried about these little guys. So many people would just kill them.. it's great that you did this for them.. do you know if they survived their transition.. they were clearly pretty upset, but everyone was calm and worked together. Thanks for helping our honeybee population!
No No, you misunderstand. This was done by Les Crowder and some of his Ecoversity students in Taos. The tree was a dead tree and needed to be removed, yet it had a colony inside. Before hauling off the tree the bees were given a new home.
Hmmm Perhaps the only rhetoric here is involved in what you didnt seem to hear?
Seriously, a little rude dont you think? These people did this out of the kindness of thier hearts.. of course the place they are on is likely someone else's private property.. they came in and spared the bees (which need all the help they can get, believe me) from being yet another hive lost.
I don know that this is called saving bees :-)) here is it called the killing a bee and it is prohibited :-(

So...in a place called "Ecoversity", you rescued these bees from their native hive instead of exterminating them. A little rhetoric don't you think?
