this is so surreal. like i can hardly believe its real. makes me think of an old lantern swinging in the rain on an old wooden ship. as lightning strikes
It's a comfort to know, as we spin into an oblivion of our own making, that the earth and the heavens will have the Dirty Three to play us out. There is nothing like this anywhere. Cheers Mick, Warren, and Jim.
remeber discovering this record through Pattie Shmydt(br5ave new waves) duringn the 2000-2001 pcp epidemic...they blew away my already fragfile mind. :)
you have to understand..me walking in the ankle deep snow with big cartoonish snowflakes falling on my face at night under the streetlights this weirness in the air, this desperation, this dirty three.
Holy shit Warren Ellis completely changed in the last 10 years. I saw him in 2006 had he had already turned into the bearded scruffy tramp he looks like today.
Their playing is as good as ever though. And I love them to bits for that.
Excellent. Nice to see Warren Ellis in the days when he had humility, before their success went to his head. I listen to the Tren Brothers more these days.
