  • My elementary school music teacher, Ann Daughtery, wrote the music to this

song. I remember she brought the 45 into music class and played it for us.

  • @sarahannwilliams2010 The music score I have says "Words and Music by Tony McCauley and Michael D'Abo"

  • 1968?!?!?! They had tv back then? Really????

  • @shimeiwoo : Yeah, TV became popular in the 50s...

  • Blacks have a sould to sing, whiteys don´t....

  • Underrated song. Underrated singer.

The energy in this song is contagious.

  • clipping in the audio is ruining this song.

  • I miss this kind of talent!!! Why can't there be more talents like him!

  • Thank you for this - one of my favorite songs from my younth - I am 59 - and I think this song is younger than me. Great song and great group.

  • LOVE IT,JUST LOVE IT

  • Blast from the far past!

  • This is so cool somehow even "heatrbreak' songs from this period manage to sound upbeat...love his voice Im sure he didnt have any trouble getting the girls though ;-)

  • Bossrat: till 69 only! Colin sung this track that's all you need to know! Clem only sung know that i've found you. Then became a premadonna. Chill with the history lesson.

  • Well the1980, besides "baby Now That I've Found You", Clem Curtis also sang lead on the Foundations second hit "Back On My Feet Again" and their chart nibbler "Any Old Time (You're Lonely Or Sad" and some other Foundations recordings: mod punk stomper classics like "It's Allright" , "96 Tears", "Jerkin' The Dog" and then he reformed the Foundatios (Ok his version) in the early 70's when nobody else was interested. So respect to both Clem & Colin. Both good (great) singers in their own rights.

  • I would hardly use premadonna and Clem in the same sentence the1980 . If you want to know about premadonna's then have a look at that American who called both Clem and Colin failures. He's even threatened to take them both to court if they ever come to the U.S.A as the Foundations.

Go and check out clip "The Foundations Live 2008" Qv6HYzT3nVo and see what he has done. He's pirated Foundations and Clem's recording added his voice in between the songs. See what stuff they end up singing too.

  • Lance, I agree with you 100 percent! Those clowns who call themselves the foundations should be locked up. I hope that everyone who sees your message and watches the video sends an e-mail to them like I did and ask them how they have the guts to call themselves the Foundations.

  • Yeah you're correct, according to Colin, the man who has copyrighted the name foundations, did actually play as a bass player on a few gigs on a US tour, the dude realized no one owned the name and registered it. And Clem was really more of a bully than a premadonna, but thats another story.

    Great comment thanks for that!

  • Hi the1980, I think that both Clem & Colin are such underrated singers. It's a shame that some bum who can't even sing ends up insulting the both of them. That American bum has now turned the Foundations into nothing more than a joke in America that is. Anyway I see that Foundations have another lead singer Hugh Montgomery. I heard him sing and he sounds great. Still I'd prefer to hear Clem & Colin. They both suited the numbers that they did over the years and people stuff love it too.

  • @the1980 The same thing happened with The Guess Who. The bass player registered the name in the US & tours w a bunch of fakes! The song-writers of all their hits, the lead guitarist & lead singer - Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings can only tour and record under their own names. There ought to be a law. There are also apparently 22 versions of The Temptations out there. Don't be fooled by the fakers. When you plunk your money down for tickets, make sure you know who you're seeing.

  • @the1980 Your absolutely right about Clem being an asshole. Hi, I'm Thomas Young, this guy is my dad : ) No joke.

  • Clem Curtis was the ORIGINAL vocalist. Colin Young was 1968-1970.

  • brilliant performance...colin young was a good singer +++++++++++++

  • Hahaha look at what they is wearing, classic!

  • cool song ....its a bit anoyng that it stops time to time ...for 1 sec, but othrewise its ok ......cool costume :-)

  • I did not know they had bellbottom suits back then, let alone bellbottom shirts!

  • besides all, is a great timeless song ; )

  • great!

  • wow!!! his attire blew me away!! man, i wish i grew up in that era! everyone was so unadulterated then!

  • @ghomsid unadulterated by what?

  • its a song its a remember, now i´m confused!!

  • gracias por este material tan valioso, es la mejor musica de todos los tiempos

  • i agree i miss music like this too.
