Hi there,
I was trying the exact same lure down here in Australia today, with a new rod. (Is it the 1 Oz one in white with red eyes?)
I could see trevally and Queenfish coming for it, and turning away at the last second...
I think that I may not have been fast enough...
But the bubble trail behind the lure was really great.
Also, it was not the best tide, it was more to test the new rod.
