does anyone know if this was a 'segregated' audience? 20:15 would indicate that, unless tickets were priced out of the hands of those without civil rights
@SmileyGarrish The American Folk Blues tours took place in Europe, and I believe they were only filmed in Germany, hence the lack of ethnic diversity in the audience.
Is that Sippie Wallace singing around 24:10? She is sure belting it whoever she is! I'm not up on dates, but she looks too young to be Sippie. I need to check when she passed away. This is fantastic!!! THANK YOU!
@MrTJRadio Thank you! I don't know how I missed her in the list. I felt stupid. Also, It was one of her signature songs...I've had the flu really bad. That's the only excuse I can come up with. I didn't think she'd look so young though. Thanks for your response. I appreciate it!
Me and my brother met the most of these bluesmen and women in person long before they became famous by the white audience for whe tralled with them around and most of them worked for Horst Lippman who became famous with the American Folk & Blues Festival and they met most of the time the G.I.'s in Germany (Western part) Thanks for posting it man Herman and Fred Bekker
