  • How did you get that keycard? Did you have a room on the restricted floor?

  • How did you get the Embassitor level card, Alex?

  • Nice elevator. Do you know if Thyssenkrupp makes this chime?

  • This is a nice elevator. I like its chime.

  • That has a unique bell. I wonder if Thyssenkrupp makes that

  • Or the chime even sounds like US Elevator.

  • The chime sounds like a OTIS or a Westinghouse.

  • At the Marriott in Jacksonville, FL, there are 8 guest levels and a concierge level on the 9th floor that is accessed by a card.

  • one thing I dont like about this elevator is that the door is the singel slide door I hate those so much I like the center slit kind better

  • Are they both glass in that set?

  • hey Alex, that card that you need to use to make the elevator go to 5 is that the same card you use to open your room or do you need a differnt card and pay extra for it?

  • Actually, that is not true in many cases. My card, at the Hyatt, would not work for the "Preferred Guest" floors.

  • is 5 for the Laudry? well at the hotel that I have been tothe laudrery is on every floor and the door is locked you just have to use your room card to get in

  • A guest with a room on a locked floor will have the key programmed to work in the reader to enable the buttons for that floor.

  • At the Hyatt, it's called Preferred Guest, Regency Club or Gold Passport.

  • Unless the other elevator has priority. This happened at a Marriott. The left elevator had a rear door to the housekeeping closet. I noticed that the other one was on the top floor and the left was in the lobby and it still waited on the other one. That's how high the priority is set to the non-rear door elevator.

  • This happened at a Marriott.

  • I should also add that I remember going to an Embassy Suites in the Seattle area many years ago! Not sure if it was this one; that's when I realized that their hotels have glass elevators! (However, the D.C. one we stayed at a couple of weeks ago, it's not glass! HAHA!)

  • All right, you're in Seattle! I grew up in the Seattle area from 1988 to early 1995, and I still remember where all the Montgomery, Otis, Westinghouse, Dover, etc. elevators and escalators were in the area!

Hey, just for fun, did your itinerary include some of the malls in the area? I remember Southcenter and Bellevue Square the most!

  • Can you ride the 3rd elevator?

  • Why does the chime sound like Otis?

  • thats accaly a dover tone I know it sounds exactly like otis

  • WRONG!!!!

  • no it is I know it souds very simarlar to otis but it is acually a dover bell beuase in alot of dover elevators have this sound I think thats a dover tone bell ask captainElevator he knows everything about elevators. dover made it Ive been on alot of dovers with that tone and yes it sounds like otis kind

  • The controller is so stupid that it waited on the other elevator even though it was on the 5th floor and the other car was in the lobby.

  • I guess those use red LED's on the buttons, and EPCO lantern gongs, since the Texas State Capitol elevators use those gongs. Other than that, this is a nice elevator.

  • I love ebassy suites when I went there like 5 years ago I rode them up and down they were glass hydralic dover elevators not this model and older one it was hydralic serves 8 storys I didnt think hydralic could serve 8 storys it was in HUnt Valley Maryland

  • The chimes sound like Otis.

  • The button is red!

  • thats rare in dover elevators but they must b\have burnt out

  • my elementry school has a dover elevator like that with a red button and you need a key to get in I dont go there any more cause Im older so Im in the high schoole 8th grade
