My only comment is, as being a fellow flutist is watch your breathing. Also, flute players are well known for their vibrato! Don't be afraid! Really use it!
yes totally agree with @LeighAnnDotCom breathing. Your'e not holding the notes for their full length. Vibrato would help as well but again well done. Im doing all your pieces in Grade 8 ABRSM lol
your quite right, yes, that's my problem, short on breath, more than 1 yr ago. LOL, you are playing the same as me, you retained the old syllabus huh?
also, my intonation was not quite accurate, luckily I got distinction. Good luck to you, and let me know your results :) You can spot all my problems, you must be doing great in exam!!!
I find that I get inspiration on playing classical flute music from mozart piano music...listen to how simple and light they are played...Raffaele Trevisani has a wonderful CD of Mozart flute music...played very tastefully and appropriately. Tonewise he's no Emmanuel Pahud or Galway...but stylistically he's absolutely wonderful at playing within the classical period style. I recommend his recordings to all my students for mozart
You play with a very good style, it's musical and appropriate for the classical period. Rare to see a young flutist (or sometimes even professonals) play Mozart with a light relaxed style. Very good job! My only comment is that in the beginning you are breaking up your phrases with little breaths. Try to get out of the habit of taking breaths when there are rests in the middle of a phrase. Even though there is "space"in the music the line needs to keep moving and is interrupted by the breaths.
Wow, gee thanks, your comment meant a lot to me! no one told me this before, I thought my Mozart was too slow and too light, lax and boring. OK, I will be careful on the breathing habit. thanks! You're very good flute player, honored to receive your comment!
Compare with your K314, this is a lot better, in terms of the interpretation. Good work!
