Texas to Arizona Transfer Dan Buckner 2007 Allen HS Highlights

So he transferred to Arizona. No wonder he's not on the Texas roster this year. Why did he transfer though?

I'm not sure what the issue was specifically, but just must have not been the right fit for him at UT.

This guy is good. But to be quite honest, the QB sucks. It seems on almost every play the WR has to come back for the ball, Not once did i see the QB hit him in stride. I'm just sayin.

....the quarterback was a sophomore..... and that same quarterback just helped lead his team to win the State Championship in 2008, and is considered one of the top 5 quarterbacks in texas hs this upcoming season (committed to Arizona)

dont get me wrong. this guy is good but check out marlon brown. hes down to florida, ohio state, or tennessee, or georgia. he plays basketball and football. both his videos are amazing

Dont get me wrong i love dan and he's an amazing receiver and i hope he goes far in college and hopefully pro ball but i dont get how everyone says he's the soul reason matt brown was successful i mean what about THE BIGS GUYS UP FRONT? The 08 senior class had 3 OL go play college ball one went D-1 another went D-1AA and another went JUCO and their center could have easily gone but sadly he torn his ACL and separated his shoulder AND STILL PLAYED! I MEAN CMON GUYS GIVE THE BIG MEN SOME CREDIT!

No doubt the big men deserve credit for Matt and Dan's success. It is the age old situation where the passer and the receiver get all the public creddit and it is up to them to pass it on to the "Big Boys" Dan was the right receiver at the right time for Brown. A Soph. QB with a WR that is tall with great hands made Brown much better.

Maybe I should do a video on the O and D lines?

Dan Buckner caught the first TD for the WEST in the game....it was 3rd and 6, about 15yds out, they threw up the ball to him, he mossed the db, and dragged his foot for the touchdown, they're showing him a lot on tv

ive heard he has a huge tendency to be cocky, but when he doesnt perform or do well, his cockiness and the way he holds himself to a very high standard kicks in, and he lights a fire under his but and gets back to where he should be

also, he did OFFICIALLY graduate from Allen HS on Friday, December 20, 2007, so he could get started in Austin. So...IF he does get to play a bunch in 08 (he might, dont kno tho) AND Sweed decides not to declare himself for the draft (because hes been injured much of the season and said he wanted to be a first round pick) and dan keeps number 4 as his number, there'll be two WR #4s and one defensive back #4, ha

I wanna point out that # 73 that Buckner Bumps with at :31 is 6'6" 315 OL Dustin Marshall. Not sure where if anyplace Dustin is gonna play, but man!! That dude can jump!

Look forward to seeing you pull double duty next year. Stick to your guns. The coaches may not like it, but remember your priorities.

yea, I'm totally looking forward to it! And the coaches don't mind at all, everytime i saw them coming off the field at halftime while we were going on the field, they told me to go play well and do good during the halftime show, as would gibson and pennington vis versa. I won't be any James Taylor where I actually start and play a lot, but nonetheless, i will get some playing time definately. Gotta lot of hard work coming up... appreciate the encouragement.

Mack Brown and Staff do a great job at recruiting.

Teams liked to double Buckner every now and then and it did not work very often.

When it did work there were so many other options that opened up it was like teams shooting themselves in the foot by trying.

It's only going to get tougher for him in college because the whole game gets elevated. I think he will rise to the occassion. If he does not get too distracted he should be fine.
