@jediwise I think most people that complain about the ricer/domestic thing is because they feel a car should be modified a certain way.....like for me I think you should go naturally aspirated and then if thats not enough power, then throw a blower on it. @lHustonProductionsl it may be less powerful but its also a lot smaller fords is 5 liter with 412 hp and the chevy is 6.2 liters with 426 thats 82hp per liter and 67hp respectively so it may make less but it makes more relative to its size so if the chevy was to match fords engine it would have to produce 510hp

The small block chevy is the cheapest bang for your buck. Put nos on any small block chevy and you have lots of fun. Most small blocks will run under 14 sec in the quarter with little modification. I have seen a stock 350 with a 150 shot nos system run 13.00 in the quarter fully loaded!

Bigger isn't always badder. The Chevy 350 is the best block on the market, the most mod friendly, and has more available mods for it than the 454. Also, why the hell would you want a 454, heavy as shit, when you can build a 350 to put out far more power and still weigh less? Again, bigger isn't always badder. Power to weight is FAR more important than simply having a big engine.

I've had a few built 350's and they pulled hard .. Although i havn't owned a 351 personally or been around that many, my buddy had a similar build in his 351 fox body mustang and my 350 monte carlo seemed to pull a lot harder. Still, 454's are torque monsters and if you were to put the same amount of work into one, you would have unreal torque. It woudlnt rev very high or anything, but for low end torque, it would be unreal and really fun to drive around ripping up tires.
