Is this in the original key? What chords are you using

@ccochrc I'm struggling to remember, but I think the original is in G. I am in C, using C G C G7 C for the verses and Am C D7 G7 for the choruses. You can find lots of chord sheets if you Google it. Good luck :)

There isn't one really, I do it by ear.

I think it's triplets of down-up-down, down-up-down, down-up-down etc.

Nice job on the song. I love Buddy. He would've been bigger than Elvis had he lived. I've been to the crash site in Iowa where he died. Weird thing was as soon as we got in the car after hiking the field to the small memorial that is there, I turned on the radio and "The day the music died" was playing.....

My top tip is to sacrifice a brand new paintbrush. I used an old manky one and got paint flakes all over the floor...
