hiGuy505 -Justice Sotomayor actually looks very unhappy as though she was forced to be there. I will never EVER forget his great disrespect for her and all the Supreme Court Justices ...how humiliated they looked... as he SLAPPED them down at SOTU because of a court decision they had just made. He doesn't respect her or he would NOT have done that! He just expects them to NOT do their job and get instructions from him.

That in NO WAY honors the new Latina! He is a user..even of the Supremes!

Obama is on a power trip now because his childhood was strange and he was basically indoctrinated as opposed to having a childhood. Look into the Conservative Republican Party. All kinds of wonderful Americans as well as Americans of Hispanic decent such as Marco Rubio. He has a great story, an amazing young man..a much better role model for all children especially our American children of Hispanic heritage. They must be encouraged to get under the AMERICAN flag, first, speak the American language ENGLISH. Those things will empower them!

I understand that you feel excited, but you must be very careful about their actions! Please, be skeptic and follow his movements with a big magnify lens, not because she is Spanish speaker (although Spanish must not be spoken in a US court) does not necessary means that she will be a "saviour".

Whenever Obama says "We, everybody, are American" (Todos somos are americanos- make me hard to translate to English for grammar dissimilarities among both languages!!!) , it looks like an ad motto and it really scare me, since ads usually lies, well I am not an "US American" but it looks weird to me!

English is not our native language, however (although I hate it) it is important to know proper vocabulary to express an opinion. It is not a "Hispanic caucus" it is a "congressional Hispanic Caucus". Please, read about it in wikipedia or another good source about "Congressional caucus"!

I am not agree with "Latino" race, since it is a lie, but in my view, whether Obama were saying be true, then it is a good start to stop discrimination in US!

discrimination ends when people stop seeing things with discriminatory eyes. you cant stop it be labelling people, over and over, hispanic, black, ... etc.

you can stop it by asking for equal treatment for everyone, not by giving them their separate name.

If you have read my comment, you should know what is really worrisome!

As a physician, races concept is important because it really can help people to get an optimal treatment (watch c0nc0rdance's videos). Outside such grounds it means discrimination!!!

Spanish speaking people really have hard time in US. I advice you to watch "story of stuff" and then you will understand what is really happening!
