First thing they do is make him sit up and move his head. I'm no medical expert but I'm sure you should never do that. If he had spinal damage that would have fucked it up even more. They should have been straight on a phone calling an ambulance.

There most likely was some form of spinal damage, whether it be just vertebrae fractures or spinal cord damage as a result from the fractures pressing on, due to impact you can see of his head into the windshield....poor rider, hope hes ok..... :(
