its a very poor attempt at emulating saul bass, just cos they got the font right doesn't mean they got anything else correct.
Saul Bass is a mint title designer, check him out :D

I've done some research, and the chap they are either ripping off, or paying homage to (You decide) is a designer/artist called Saul Bass. Check him out on Wikipedia, if you're interested. I'm still looking around for the theme that accompanies this advert, if anyone knows what it is please post a reply.

One of the most memorable adverts of recent time. Stylised in an early 60's minimalist de-style way, and who have though itv 4 would be the ones behind it.
