  • What a beautiful sound, wonderful, congratulation !

    (what is your whistle ?)

  • merci! It's a Shaw, low D.

  • I really love that you're playing this tune at this slow speed.. Beautiful. And this Shaw seems to be a nice instrument.

  • yes, it's a beauty! I love mine.

  • Gorgeous. And it IS breathy. I love it! Reminds me there's a soul playing and not just an instrument making notes. :)

  • Excellent playing ! :)

  • That shop is in Pike's Market, isn't it? Been there once, and I couldn't spend enough time there. Great place :D

  • yep! it's lovely.

  • I wonder if it has a tabla accompaniment ... maybe with a violin ... why dont u post more vids with d low whistle ??

  • Wow, you totally inspired me to get the Shaw Low D! I just got it, love it to death, and this song is the first one I chose to learn!

...but what's this song called? ^_^

  • The Trip to Pakistan, I think it's in a tanahill weavers recording.

  • @TheFoxyDoxey It was given on the original comments

  • What song are you playing?

  • @AyselHylie Please read the poster comments ...

  • every now and then I find something very special on youtube. This is one of those things. Fantastic. Thank you very much!!!

  • Awesome!!! great sounding shaw!!

  • That's just hauntingly beautiful! Thank you!

  • Tempted to the low side now....;-) lovely playing, well done.

  • That was magical. I had a player piano as a kid. It read music from scrolls. Congrats on the new whistle. I borrowed a new one from a friend that has pretty great tone but I am still having trouble with finger spacing and I could swear my fingers are longer. I think I'm going to study this some more! ;)

  • That seems to be an awesome music store in SEATTLE! This is getting so confusing, I'm not entirely sure where the diamonds are now. I'll solve it tonight. Gotta be somewhere.

  • With haste, fair maid. The pie grows ever colder.

And speaking of chandeliers, you know what's even better? Black is the Color by Gaelic Storm.

  • lovely, its hard to play with so much breath :D

  • Nice. thanks

  • oh, one more thing, i recall you playing another low whistle before , what whistle was that?

  • yeah, that was a disaster I bought from amazon...mid east manufacturing was the company. The only thing it was good for was getting used to the finger spacing.

  • wow! utterly mystical , more air than a flute? now that's a lot! i was wondering when you'd buy something with that voucher ;-) great pictures by the way

  • That was beautiful

  • Magnificent!

  • Congrats on the new whistle! One can never have too many instruments! Fun seeing the pics of Seattle. That's a cool looking guitar in the beginning.

  • @SW94929 It's called a harp-guitar. It's a guitar with extra low strings played 'free' (no frets) like on a harp.

  • Nice to see you on the low whistle : )

    Well played!
