This was a real treat! I live in Georgia and I'd dreamed all my life of having a white Christmas and I finally got my wish! I couldn't believe it actually happened.

snow is when our freezer broke on christmas day, but I really want to experience a "White Christmas"

It would seem that you're ignoring the GLOBAL part of the phrase global warming. The AVERAGE temperatures across the entire globe (planet) are warming over thousands of years, according to geologic and other scientific evidence. Just because there is a freak snowstorm here and there every now and then, doesn't bring the average global temperature trend on a downward drop lol. See "scientific method".

Yes..global warming has done what we all said it would do..dilute the ocean enough to kill the gulf loop current. It was fun when you recorded this, but not so fun not that 49 states have snow due to the current being killed. Report of a 36 ft walled tsunami generated from a river in the middle of Australia are real. Damn the news..trust your eyes. The sea floor of the gulf is dead for miles and the millions of ocean life that are dead and washed to shore are so toxic birds wont eat them!

@Jeraminal While I agree with that our education is need of overhaul (to put it mildly) Our problem is not "skimping" we spend plenty on education(well, on administrators and union heads anyway) More than most of the other countries that we are behind. Our problem is in the execution of that system.

We were going to drive up there to let the kids see real snow for the first time. Problem is you have to get through the ice zone first and no one wanted to ride all the way up there in the jeep, so we just stayed here in N Fl. We can almost skate on the pool, it's 22f this am and the wind chill is 10f. So is it any wonder that Algore bought a $9 million place on the beach, no global warming and no 100ft sea rising, what a crook.

@Holly77Berry Anyone claiming record highs as proof would be just as wrong as anyone claiming this snowstorm discredits it. You have to collect data from all over the Earth (the 'G' stands for "global" not "Georgia"!) over a long period of time and do tons of math before you can see how the average temperature of our entire planet is changing. Every single person who has bothered to do all that hard work (which rules out Monckton) is concerned because that average is going up faster than normal.

It's not the warming that's in dispute, it's the cause of it. The current climate change is just a natural cycle.

@xp19375 I was running out of chars at the end there, and "normal" was just me giving up on trying to find a better way to make it all fit. But I guess I would say: normal would be little ups and downs not deviating much from what we estimate it has been since the end of the last ice age.

Remember, my comment was a response to someone disputing the warming.

But as for cause, saying it's "just a natural cycle" doesn't help. What causes the cycle? Can you predict when the warming will stop?
