  • Nice way to stress those fish out

  • I love Hardstyle.. And I love aquariums.... Ear/eye gams!!!!!!! 8D @3@ <(u-u)b

  • Awesome work brah. You should do a tutorial

  • @oneyedthing if you check out my other vids, there is a four part tutorial with costs, materials and plans etc. thanks for the comment.

  • Well i think your tank looks pretty mad. And how clever to cut costs the way you did... I have 3 2 foot aquariums and i KNOW how expensive the bits and pieces can be,lol. Ignore the tank haters mate..as long as your happy with it :D

  • it's a fish rave!

  • wow you dont know what to do with ur monies lol

  • Nice tank

  • ugly tank

  • @biscottiapplebutter. agreed. The vid is about the led lighting

  • what song is that?

  • @tetegarcialau Song- Expansion (DJ Ghost)

  • ahha did u drop some molly in the tank then play that for them??!! they would love/hate u for it :P

  • No rocks in the floor = fish dancing in the shit over 5 days!

  • @jeremiehernandez1 I got the tank from PetBarn for about $130 (glass only), made the stand out of an old bed frame, second hand floor boards and a sheet of ply + laquer $25, pump is a 3000L/H internal filter $40, aquaone air pump twin air $30, two air stones $5, rock/pots from the garden, anubias nana plant $8, drift wood from the river, 20W heater $20 eBay, the overall cost for the lighting is in my part 1 diy vid... think it was around $130-200. total ~$400 for full tank setup.

  • lol this is epic. fuck the haters. those fish would get some good tail witha crib like that!

  • I love it!

  • in da fish club XD

  • I like the dimmer option. Rockin' fish in the free world.

  • your fish tank is not a club dude!!!.trying to get them blind ?

  • @tropicalthirst.... Agreed.... not a club... YET. Blind off what? haha... jokes. I love my pets and they love me, I take good care of them. The dimming feature allows to set the light intesity to a just position.

I dont constantly change them like in the vid. At night i have only blue on low, and during day I have white and blue on high to achieve the closest Watts/L ratio for tropical aquariums.

    thx for commenting.

  • whats the song?

  • @kennethtv1 its a mix... Walt N Feliz - Expansion (DJ Ghost). Got it off Sublime XII cd 2.

  • BAD ASS!!!

  • Those poor fish. Do you dose the tank with ecstasy, too?

  • @WhoCares2509... If you check out my later diy vids, I have a venustus colony. I noticed with the the blue/uv on low and a hint of green/red, somehow increases the females acceptance of the male. The effects are much the same after a water change too. As for stress levels of the fish... they get an initial fright when turned on (like any other fish/light source), then mellow out after 5 sec.

    Thx for commenting.

  • @WhoCares2509

Ecstasy part is funny. I thought the same thing.

  • @WhoCares2509 AHAHAHAHA

I can picture the tank owner getting high as fuck, turning on his tank lights and doling out the ecstasy.... "Alright fishies...one drop for me, one drop for you"

  • OMG I LUVVVVVVVVV IT. I'm making a psychedelic fish tank and am thinking of getting neon colored led's to make it look trippy as hell. Nice music selection btw TECHNO RULES.

  • nice

  • This Is Prolly The Sickest Tank Ive Ever Seen.

  • Thanks for all the information. I will think over my options fow a couple days. Mounting 1000 leds seems kinda tedious and that's a lot of soldering. I am getting the tank next month. I currently have a 35 gallon and a 65 gallon. The 65 gallon is 48 inches and only have 50 watts of flourcent lights which I know is underpowered but is fish only and has been fine for years. How many watts do the 10mm leds use?

  • Thats 0.77W/G. Sounds like you can get away with saltwater lighting the same as fresh water.

This is the formula used to calculate how much Watts any Leds uses...

    W=VA

    :where W is Watts, V is Voltage, A is Ampres(1A = 1000x mA).

Most 10mm Leds have a voltage drop of 3.3V and run with 20mA eg:

    W=3.3 x 0.020 = 0.066W each.

so 15x 10mm LEDs is equal to 1W.

Im a uni student, have lots of spare time and the internet everywhere... keep the Q's coming whenever.

  • what about using 300 total led. 200-10mm 10000k white 25 degree and 100-10mm 460nm blue 25 degree for my 180 or is that not enough at all.?

  • @stgawne Your looking for cheaper option. It really depends on what the aim of your lighting is. You had said its a salt water with only fish? Do you have a type of lighting at the moment? what is it and how is the aquarium surviving with it?

Im a tropical aquarium keeper and know that my tank can survive without any etra added light within the room.

The bottom line is... if you want the tank to look really spectacular with proper growth etc, its going to cost about $3.5-$4 per gallon.....

  • If your looking for some lighting effects inside the tank, and to increase the visability of the fish within an already lit room, then yes you can get away with 300x 10mm LEDs...Just wire them up the same as I did replacing the UV Leds with the white.

I started with the blue and UV 10mm Leds, but then wanted more, so added the 3w whites, then stil decided it needed to be brighter so added 4x 10W white leds.

My tank is 48" long, 22" High and 14" wide, making yours about 3x bigger........

  • I originally used 198 Leds, so your aiming for 600x 10mm Leds or greater. Then your blue and white will be nearing the same intensity as in this video.

It will cost you about $70 for Leds. I suggest not using Led mounts unless you can find them cheap, otherwise they are way too expensive.

If you want to go further, spend $115 on 1000 Leds with no mounts, resistors for $6 and a power supply for $20-$30. Then make using 990x 10mm LEDs doing 18 rows of 55 with 3.2cm between each LED centre.

  • Wow. I like your light. Where did u get it?

  • @00APrilAq00 I bought the materials off eBay, Bunnings and Big W. Then I built it in the loungeroom. Check out my uploaded diy vids of it.

  • You don't mention anythingabout

  • @miff2000 I have filmed the proper diy now and uploading it in parts.

I have added another 40W of leds too.

  • That's how Fishes enjoy Night Clubing! : D

  • Party Night Clubin' :D!

  • very nice if u sell that hood i'd be interested

  • @zachbeck2022

I just bought a few 10w White LEDs to add.

Noticed the W/Leds werent bright enough to light full aquarium, because I used lense for every led, so Im putting some in without lens to lessen the beams and spread the light evenly throughout aquarium.

At the moment the leds are mounted straight on the hood using the backing of a recycle bin.. hahaha, not very sellable.

Will be building a perspex unit to mount leds in. I wil vid my entire diy when i rebuild it and post it up.

  • Love it!

Dance you little fishies! Dance! Like you are at a Rave Party!

    Sweet as lights!
