Is it strange that I'm a 15 year old kid (I'm not gay) But I cry a little whenever I listen to Incubus? They've done so much for me in terms that... I use to be an incredibly self-conscious person. Very shy, I felt very week in myself. It wasn't until I listened to Drive I was introduced to this band. The greatest thing in my life that has EVER happened was when I first heard 'Drive' Since then I have forever been enticed by the beauty of this band.

This album seemed to really focus on Brandon's voice. Which I think is awesome. I think he's very underrated as an artist. All of them are actually. In my personal opinion, best band in the universe.

One of the reasons people are ragging on Boyd's voice here is because it's completely unaffected. No reverb, no delay, no echo... just his straight voice. How many of today's rock singers can do that and sound good? Not many.

I feel sorry for the people who hate this record, if you're not able to hear beauty out of music, I feel really sorry for you, music is not always about playing the hardest riffs and making wicked shit on your instrument. This right here is just pure harmony, especially the bridge, it's the whole idea of music happening there. Some people hate it, some people say it's good, but they don't like it. For those who don't see that this is good music, they just don't understand it.

@mintybassman You can dislike new stuff :) But even if I love old albums, I like "If not now when" too! They're changed, I agree, but they're music is still powerfull and intense about the intention. Not a bad album, it's a NEW album. (sorry for the bad english, I'm italian!)

I have no problems with bands evolving and changing, but I think with the last album and this album they've just lost the 'edginess' that made them amazing. Tracks like 'Admiration' and 'Pantomime' were different to how they were, but they were fantastic tracks. This, i'm afraid, seems to be an album with only 1 decent track 'Switchblade'.
