Perhaps if Mr Benn had not been so happy to delude himself he would have accepted that Miss Kenton was never attracted to him and that the marriage was doomed to fail. Of course, if Stevens had not been so repressed he might have acted upon his feelings for Miss Kenton. They would have married, Miss Kenton would have been fulfilled, and it is unlikely that, married to a man she loved, she would have become a 'ball-busting bitch'. Glad you liked the film.
