Fire storms are devastating for everyone in their paths. CA is all too familiar with this natural disaster. My heart and prayers go out to the victims, their families, and all of Australia.

Just heart breaking, Dee. Here we are just climbing out of a severe ice storm and you guys are suffering such a tragedy of the oppposite extreme. Sometimes I just don't know what is happening to our Earth. God Bless!

While the human lives lost is terrible its the animals that were worst hit. In the paper they were saying over one million wildlife lost their lives with thousands of species on the brink of extinction now gone.Great compilation and maybe showing more burnt animals will show the other side of how these fires effect not only the arsonists enemy, the humans but also show the destruction of helpless wildlife that did nothing to deserve this. Hope some of the money goes to the wildlife carers.

Ah, Dee. My heart is with you all over there. My dear friend hottidownunda1, she is in Australia too and has made a video. We suffered this in Greece last year and there was quite a loss. We drove through the remnants recently...and so so sad. My prayers are with all those who have lost loved ones, are trying to escape and have to begin again. May the goodness in others bring hope to many during this horrible time!!!!

What devastation, how terrible.. I was chatting with a friend from Melbourne when he said it was the hottest they had ever had and windy. That must have been the day the fires started. This is so sad and tragic for what has happened to our friends in the great land down under. This shouldn't happen to anyone. The lives of people and animals lost,towns destroyed and all of this during the highest temperatures in 100 years. If this was indeed arson,then it should,by all means,be considered a mass murder.
