Eventually you do become a captain.. I simmed alot of my games just to see the outcome and i got sent down to the Chicago Wolves. After A while I got a pop up saying , "You have been named team capitain." It takes a while. Give it some time but making on the Thrashers. I would more than likely have to wait till Kovalchuk retired or got traded.
