That translation is not quite correct if you can read the script in the video. Sanskrit is a very accurate language, a slight misinterpretation of letters changes the entire meaning of words, possibly the mantra.

yes, faith is very important in chanting the mantras, but pronunciation is just as important. each sound holds a specific kind of energy and when you change the vibration of one sound you can change the effect of the entire mantra.
there is even a story [i believe it is from shiva purana?] that tells of lord shiva cutting off brahma's head for chanting a prayer to him incorrectly
there is another story about a hindu "priest" who visits an old man on an island. But truth is he does not liberate u totally. When he cast his drishti on ganesha his head got severed. He is god, we r humans. So I said his drishti in some ways always harmful. But panicking would not solve anything. So try & face it head on. Tula rashi yr sade sati commences on 10/9/09. Sinh rashi yr final charan starts then. Kanya yr toughest time starts on that day cause it moves to the core. But depends on other factors like house placement also. If bad house then kanya rashi be aware.

Bear in mind he will not liberate u totally. He can help u & lessen yr harsh times. Shani himself prays lord shiva so it is obvious. Yet vishnu sahasaranaam & bhagvad shastra & gita can also help for hindus. Vishnu saharasanaam is very powerful. It can even change your destiny so shani effects can surely be changed.

1st sade sati is generally emotionally challenging. It occurs before u r 30 yrs age. 2nd sade saati is socially challenging. It occurs before 59 yrs age. 3rd is physically challenging & occurse before 85 yrs of age. Shani is a good teacher. U will learn more during his bad periods then any other time. Learn from bad periods & correct them. U will be lucky to have shani bad periods early in life cause that set u up for the future.

Shani signifies seva or helping hand. So help people irrespective of cast or creed. Especially poor & needy ones. Go to temples, church, gurudwaras or mosques & give food or money by yr own hands. Do not just give donation to temples. That is not seva. Seva will please shani & he will lessen yr harsh times. If u r not too rich then give maan dan or respect to others. That is biggest donation possible.

Shani in 12th house is equally bad cause it cast drishti on 2nd, 6th & 9th house. So it destroys wealth, causes diseases & also makes u non believer in god. Shani with Chandra is a very bad yoga. It is often called permanent sade sati. I have it so I know. It causes mental torture & often depression. Normally shani does not cause divorce or early death cause it is the planet for struggles & survival.

Pray lord shiva or any of his forms like hanuman. If u r from other religion pray to god u believe in. Put responsibility before rights because shani awards neutral responsibility. Have patience cause shani slows things down & gives very little results during bad periods. Shani in 10th house in a horoscope is not good even though it is at home. It cast drishti on 12th, 4th & 7th which destroys peace, tensions in home & frictions with partner. It gives good position in job but makes u workaholic

Shani in 10th house is at home & shani is uccha in libra rashi & capricorn & aquarius are shani's rashi. Sade sati occurs in 3 rashis around moon. There is small panoti of 2.4 years in 4th or 8th house from moon. But not all these period is bad & depends on yr rashi. Normally shani mahadasha is golden period to burn off past karma. But please stay away from 7 sins: Pride, Envy, Gluttony, Lust, Anger, Greed & Sloth during his periods.

Shani Info- Shani in some ways is always a malefic planet. Astrologically speaking he does good in his own house & does bad in houses it cast drishti on. It cast drishti 100 % drishti on 3rd & 10th house from itself. 75 % drishti on 7th house from itself. Say if u have shani in 5th or 10th house in yr horoscope yr marriage will be late & not much happiness is derived through marriage. But rarely u divorce cause shani teaches survival under tough conditions.

I have no objection to anything u say. Lord is in everything so u & i are also a part of god. But I just feel people should worship any form of god like jesus, vishnu, allah, shiva, mataji or ganesha. I know shani's effect cause I have gone through worst part of shani dasha and mangala, chandra and rahu bhukti for 7 yrs now. I have sade saati coming up. But still I want to put faith in my god & not on any planets because I believe "He is above all that"

U r wrong about surya ggaurava. Listen shani deals with material happiness and karmic cleanup. Surya is knowledge of the divine. Brihat Parashara stotra says Surya is king of all grahas. Shani cannot give u moksha & infact it causes bandhan. In gita krishna says he is surya among adityas. Surya is form of vishnu while shani is lord of justice. Who is bigger? The Lord Almighty or the Judge. Think about it

Also offering water and food to particular animal/tree I prohibit. So offer food to every animal and pour water to all plants even though it is costly. Remember shani awards neutral responsibility though not during bad periods but surely in good times. Do not try and get out of bad periods by small offerings. Accept and face them and see the results during good periods. I will guarantee you shani will make you into gold once his dasha/bhukti or saade sati period is over

wow, i knew "Shani (Sanskrit Śani शनि) is one of the Navagraha which are the nine primary celestial beings in Hindu astrology (that is, Vedic astrology)" according to wikipedia. i just typed my name in, which is Shani believe it or not, out of curiosity and boredom and there it was. i also googled my name and i see this mantra. very cool. i always thought Shani was an african/egyptian name but now its related to hinduism too? that is very cool indeed. :)

That translation is not quite correct if you can read the script in the video. Sanskrit is a very accurate language, a slight misinterpretation of letters changes the entire meaning of words, possibly the mantra.

yes, faith is very important in chanting the mantras, but pronunciation is just as important. each sound holds a specific kind of energy and when you change the vibration of one sound you can change the effect of the entire mantra.
there is even a story [i believe it is from shiva purana?] that tells of lord shiva cutting off brahma's head for chanting a prayer to him incorrectly

there is another story about a hindu "priest" who visits an old man on an island. He asks the old man how spiritual he is and the old man replies "I only know one mantra but I recite it every day" the priest asks the old man what mantra, and the man recites it 'wrong' and the priest tells him so, and then instructs the old man. the priest leaves and as he is leaving the old man walks across the water to the boat, and asks the priest how he is supposed to say the mantra, again.
