Thank God for these four musicians.

  • this is what is so beautiful about zep. although they've been praised for being pioneers of hard rock, they played acoustic tracks just as amazing. balance is everything. probably my favorite zeppelin song because of this.

  • Ummm I saw Led Zeppelin 4 times in my life. Yeah I know I know I'm one lucky guy.

  • mf bosses.

  • 0:41 is that plant playing that?

  • @donnellyseanelly Yeah that's Robert haha. I think he liked to play around on the guitar but never played like for recordings or shows or anything.

  • @shmadsta It's thought that Robert played the rhythm track on Down By the Seaside.

  • @ledduino NUH UH that's awesome! You know I've heard he's not bad. Well, the more you know...

  • trying to get to the end of the song but cant get past the guitar intro at the first....jesus i love real music

  • Robert Plant's voice in this song is soooo good----too bad after Physical Graffiti, he always sounded out of tune. Great song.

  • @tedGEGI His voice might have been rasp but it wasn't out of tune.

  • Brilliant slideshow,....I don't know whether to cry or laugh.

  • Reply button needed!

  • Only Led zeppelin can make being cheated on this fun! Agree? Thumbs up!

  • BEST ALBUM EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • every day, 10 times in a row

  • Its escapes me as to why this fine tune was relegated to "b side status" and not even given the respect it deserved to add it to the Coda LP (1982) when it was released. I have that 1993 box of cds were this tune & a few others were tacked onto that version of Coda.

  • better thnb hitlers kill death ratio on black ops

  • Here's the part where I see 27 dislikes and say they are all IDIOTS. Which they are. But I'm really just looking for some thumbs up on my quote.

  • I searched Utube for good covers of this song......... good lord.......... lets just say I clouldn't find any good ones

  • @mynamespitt glad to be of service

  • I LOVE THEM SOOOOO MUCH!!!!! GOD!!!! SOOO MUCH! Why was I born in 1992?!? :(

  • led zeppelin 4 life

  • Well its such a great tune for me but sadly it does remind me of the gal i love, really even before i told her it was like wanna ball all day... In the end it's likely to leave her where the guitars play but a fool's hope is still there...

  • unprecedented talent , close friendship, a loud mouth , business savvy ,killer ex- wrestler manager, and a deal with the devil, is what it takes to be the biggest band in the history of rock' n roll !!!..LOL ! of course the deal with the devil part is fiction, but makes for a great story..but the rest are all true elements !!!

  • this is my favorite song

  • @thelouroc One of the best Zeppelin songs for sure

  • is anyone as obsessed as i am at plants vocal at 0:38-0:41 ??

  • 27 people need to see a Otolaryngologist.

  • Long Live Led Zeppelin

  • the moan @ 0:39 holy shiiiiiiit.

  • the moan @ 0:39 holy shiiiiiiit.

  • I get this odd feeling down my spine every time he says ''gonna leave her where the guitars play'' i love it this song is fantastic im glad it was not released as an album track. i think it being a single made it more worth it when you heard that little into

  • One of my favs of all time, LOVE IT!! Robert Plant puts so much emotion into his singing as the rest of the band does with their instruments. The writing of the lyrics are just as amazing as the music. I'm sorry but Led Zep blows away the Beatles in my opinion.

  • Nothing to feel sorry about Weezy :=) Led Zeppelin - the greatest rock band there ever was, is or will be. It is sacrilege to speak of any one above the Beatles but IMHO the truth of the matter is Zeppelin has an incredible depth and range in their music making that no other band comes even close to.As individuals i dont know if Plant, Page, JPJ and Bonham have betters - the Who is the one band that matches up in talent but in terms of the number of classic hits,Zeppelin is Numero Uno

  • @nagee76 I think the Beatles win, but if there is any artist that comes even remotely close to it's Led Zeppelin and Bob Dylan.

  • @UndergroundRelapse I respectfully disagree - my personal choice is Led Zeppelin but i respect your vouching for the Beatles and Jaqua524 for the Who - we can at least be thankful that we are able to listen to these epic musicians who have given us fans so much joy.

  • @nagee76 wellll, i almost agree with you, Led Zeppelin is eternal, and will always have classic hits, always be the best, but i like how you acknowledged the who, in my opinion, pure musical talent, no band, even Led Zeppelin, touches the who, as musicians, they were by far the most talented band, but led Zeppelin was the greatest rock band there ever was, get what I am saying? lol

  • @jaqua524

Robert Plant was a better singer than Roger Daltrey.

Jimmy Page was a better guitarist than Pete Townshend.

John Bonham was a better drummer than Keith Moon.

John Paul Jones and John Entwistle are roughly equal on bass but then John Paul Jones played organ, piano, mellotron, clavinet, flute, mandolin etc etc as well.

Led Zeppelin were the most talented musicians of any band in history.

  • @LaughingGravy31 clearly you are zeppelin biased, Vocals, it is preference, although Plant has a better range. Jimmy page was a better guitarist, Keith Moon was on another level, saying bonham's style was technically better means nothing, its rock music, what moon did for the who, and for drumming, and how brilliant he was and how he could incorporate the entire piece into his drumming, while providing a MELODY on the drums, and the energy, moon was the best drummer. bass..lol entwisle by a mile

  • @LaughingGravy31 not to mention the orchestral pieces they were able to create, along with tomy

  • @jaqua524

    Pft.

    Tommy vs Kashmir?

The Who don't even come close.

  • @LaughingGravy31 you think Kashmir is bigger and more historic than tommy? were you alive when they were released?

  • I think it is one of personal liking :=) don't get me wrong I love the Who - but when i hear Bonzo on whole lot of love, stairway, black dog, when the levee breaks, rock'n'roll etc i pretty much think of him the way you esteem Keith Moon ! the energy, the absolutely incredible talent and passion...as Gravy pointed out JPJ was so incredibly versatile other than the bass - Townshend vs Page is close and cruel to judge:=)Plant to me was the best .we can agree on one thing we love our bands dearly :=)

  • @nagee76 oh I like Led Zeppelin better lol...that was my thoughts on individual members, moon inspired me to play the drums. I think Entwisle was extraordinary on bass. and vocals, its everyone's preference, my favorite though is Brad Delp of Boston, unbelievable singer, you think?

  • @jaqua524 I love Boston too - every time i listen to more than a feeling i cannot believe its a recorded song ! it seems like pure poetry that is so spontaneous -Delp puts a lot of feeling even though the voice is so cool. ... there was so much incredible music back in the 70's and 80's

  • @nagee76 absolutely, voston is what got me into classic rock haha

  • @MusicLoverWeezy

""I'm sorry but Led Zep blows away the Beatles in my opinion.""

Don't be sorry. You are quite right. Zeppelin do blow away the Beatles. Their music is also more timeless as well. The Beatles, especially production, sound dated and exactly like a 1960s band. Zeppelin sound far more contemporary and more modern than the Beatles.

  • led zeppelin was probably the greatest band when it came to expressing emotions through music

  • @254sneak what about Pink Floyd? the wall IS pure emotion

  • @254sneak You get a whole hearted thumbs up, and I don't even agree with you.

  • free is how i feel when this song is playing

  • Tuning is CFCFAF

  • two words could describe this song. f***ing amazing.

  • love the TRIPLE NECK GUITAR!!! at 0:13

  • This is like, my happy place.

  • So you think you can play and sing like this? No mixing tricks, no Auto-tune. JUST TALENT! There is NO substitute! Still waiting for the band who is worthy to inherit this legacy....30 years and counting....tick, tick, tick....

  • wish there was a love button for this song. Brings back memories for days

  • 0:40 is that plant whit jimmy's double neck ? hihi :D

  • Led Zeppelin's B-sides were better than any other bands' A-sides.

    thumbs-up if you agree.

  • @XDanTheGuitarManX Thumbs DOWN for being a thumb-up attention whore, you stupid asshole.

  • @XDanTheGuitarManX Well, besides the Beatles.

  • @XDanTheGuitarManX Other than The Beatles, you may have a point!

  • 27 people didn't know what to do.

  • GREAT F---ING TUNE

  • Wow! I've never heard this song! I've seen all kind of concerts, i've heard a lot of non-official bootlegs but i've never founded this....

    AND ITS FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!!

  • @Jonzuma thats bc this was a B side to the immgration song single

  • Magnificent Bastards!!!

  • i love this song, one of zeps best. greatest band eva.

  • Led Zeppelin evolved so much and had such great song after great song that was different each time. Awesomeness!!! Love Led Zep my fav band EVA!!!

  • Nice- best band in the world

  • ...This is just so fucking brilliant!! The best band ever by far!!

  • The Gods of Rock have spoken and they said...

  • You cry because its a God damn work of art man!!!!

  • I'm surprised no-one seems to have mentinoed the fact this song contains some nice backing vocals during the outro - I could be wrong but I don't think any other Led Zep song has backing vocals - something they underused maybe? I like it in the live shows when Bonzo sings harmonies occasionally.

  • @samork123 Any songs with a chorus or repeating line (Examples being Your Time is Gonna Come, Communication Breakdown, and Tangerine) would usually contain backing vocals. Bron-y-aur Stomp has some nice backing from Bonzo throughout the verses as well. Was definitely something that they did more frequently earlier in their career (albums I-III mainly.) It would still show up sometimes, as in The Ocean, but it was definitely less frequent.

  • @nowinterweather Yeah, someone put Gallow's Pole on the jukebox in the pub I work in today and I noticed there's some minor backing vox at the end there. Thanks for the reply, reaffirms my faith in getting accurate information on the internet!

  • give me a sec i got to clean the cum out of my key bored

  • It is my favorite Zeppelin song. I had the single when I was young. Love it so much!!

  • I've always felt this is one of the best songs Led Zepplin ever made, and I've always been mystified why it wasn't released as a single.

  • 0:14

i would like to be a pupil of mr.plant.

  • Music matures like wine...

  • are the guitars tuned like 1/4 up for this?? cause it doesn't sound like standard tuning

  • @noobpowner901 You're right it's not in standard tuning it's slightly tuned up/down. Don't remember quite how much unfortunately, not a lot anyway.

  • @HenrikFolkestad THought so, well thanks for confirmation

  • @HenrikFolkestad They use to tune to C 528, instead of C 523. Even Bonham tuned his drums up.

  • @HenrikFolkestad tuned a half step down

  • @HenrikFolkestad Down 3/4 I think.

  • @noobpowner901 it's tuned down a half step, and the recording was slowed down slightly, resulting in another 1/4 step down.

  • @noobpowner901 Guitars are tuned 3/4 down, 1/2 down from Eb tuning.

  • @noobpowner901 Half step down.
