Yeah and if the FAS continues on with this "final match/not final match" at the National Stadium fiasco, we may get to play the Aussies there again and again year after year for the foreseeable future. Postponing the closing down of the stadium will only mean the replacement one gets delayed indefinitely. So much for a country with a government that prides itself on honesty and integrity...what a joke!
I remember in the previous Asean Cup final in Singapore, the stadium authority put a canvas to protect the field from rain. Why can they do that again?

What a boring shit sport. there is nothing better than an exciting, gripping and tense Nil all draw. Football is as interesting as wiping your arse. B. O. R. I. N. G.
let me get this straight. you made the comment above without even watching the video? So you just came from wherever you came, clicked on a random football video, and made that hate comment without even looking at the video? If that is true, then a nightclub full of ugly chicks will have more life than you will ever have. You sir, are a sad piece of useless fuck.

Why would anybody want to sit through 2 minutes let alone 90 minutes of a game with no score. Boring! In fact, what is the point of a game that can be completed with no score?
It's simple really. the game is about defence and attack. A goal scored is as important as making a well timed tackle to prevent a goal conceded. Sure, everybody loves a scorer. But football is made up of more than that. So if you don't like football, go watch American sports, where their individualistic nature ensures that every game has a big time scorer and everybody wanna jerk off the quarterback, the home runner, the slam dunker and whathaveyous. Long live the beautiful game.
I think the best thing to say about football is that anything can happen because the ball is round. I mean we wrote off our own team for 1998 and 2004/5 but they surprised us. Even the Uzbek's 3-0 rout of Saudi Arabia was somewhat unexpected. Main thing is that the team must have the belief and work as a team (which they have done well since Raddy took over).
i totally disagree with u bro. Lions defence was superb! but only we need to be more ruthless infront of goal. Was there at kallang to watch lions beat lebanon. i think if we continue playing like this, then i think we got a great chance to qualify for SOUTH AFRICA. :) Cheers!
Singapore did great against Lebanon just now. Scoring remains our greatest problem though! Defense was a bit slow just now as well. But we can beat the Uzbeks!
hahaha its okay, maybe in 2011, you guys would be, u all need more exposure on humid asian weather, i also feel that singaporean need to play in the A-League xP
not to forget u guys are playing against china in kunming, a place with air pollution and possibly poor pitch, singapore's pitch is already nothing compared to them, but you guys shouldn't complain cuz ur opponents would be playing in the same pitch too
haha, it isnt the worst pitch u ever seen, its due to the rain. and hey, you should not blame the pitch cuz u didnt get the right result, it might help ur team in the future like adapting to the rain, maybe cuz australia do not really play much in rain, sooner you'll adapt and will be able to play in AFC conditions, take pride that your team did perform well today, from a singaporean's point of view... in AFC, there isn't much cold weather as u expect in australia so adapt to it
it was an awful pitch,we played with vertially our second side, we play AT Singapore but we still get them out. and we had more scoring oppertunities! so we should be proud of that result.
hahaha i also watched it frm national stadium, totally enjoyed it from a singaporean's point of view, but not sure about the aussies though, they too seem to enjoy themselves

This would have to be the worst pitch I have ever seen in an international game.
Players from both teams performed poorly because of this

it rained before the match and only stopped 15 minutes before kick off
