I purchased this hot wheel set for my 4 year old for his birthday about 3 weeks ago and one set of the boosters has stopped working. Has anyone else had this problem? I bought this set b/c of the A/C power option. I thought that having the boosters run by A/C power this would prevent the loss of power that I have seen with the booster run by batteries. I guess not. I am going to call Mattel's customer service to see if anything can be done to fix or replace this set of boosters.

Earlier on in the video, you said you'd try some taller cars to see how they faired with the vertical style boosters, but I didn't notice any particularly tall cars later in the video. Have you tried taller cars with this set? If so, how well did they work?

@atfsgeoff I don't recall if they worked or not. I had the brinx truck or whatever it is called, and I don't remember if it worked or not. I will tell you one thing that the taller cars will not work in the Boosted Wall Tracks set (Mid-Air Madness). They get jammed in the booster.

@racegrooves Thanks for the reply! I ordered this set just now, and will be picking it up at Wal-Mart next week sometime. I'll report back to confirm whether tall cars work well with it then. I just recently started recollecting Hot Wheels cars over the past year, after not having bought one in at least 12 years (I'm 26 now). If I'm lucky I can dig out my old collection from the basement and find my previous track star car, the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile! :)

@racegrooves Just got the set in today, I set up and and have been playing, err, testing it for a couple of hours now. Top tips: Placing a thin book or other similar object under the supports that are under the banked curves, will improve the reliability of most cars navigating the track without crashing on their own. Also, the set works best with cars that have low ground clearance, so they get better contact with the boosters. Cars with a lot of ground clearance don't always make it around.

well the pit stop has a fuel button where the pump goes forward to 'fuel up' your car. But i cant understand a thing what they say when my grandama got it for my b day cos its written in japanese. I had to figure it out on my own with my grandma . It cost 70 sin. It uses 4d batteries and does batteries cos alot!
