I can almost cry listening to this, because those were the most innocent care free days. And you never get those times back.

  • @MisterCrazyLegs

LOL! Good memories man. I'm 22 years old now and I can remember hearing this song practically every morning on tape cassette when my father took me to school in the morning or to my babysitter's house back in the mid-90s. I tell you, the 90s were the best care free times of my life. I hope I/we can get times like that again before I die. Um, um, um...

  • @frankjum - Heard this for the first time in yesterday here in Chicago at the annual Deep House Picnic thrown by the Chosen Few. Check my videos to see two short clips. The second song is awesome also "Into My Life (You Bring the Sunshine)"

  • @reggiep671 Aw Dammit! I didn't get out there til around 5 p.m. so I missed it. Too bad for me, it's a really enchanting song. Whooooo...plenty of fine women out there tho...Anyways, keep bouncin!

  • I remember this album from my childhood. My mother used to play that album over and over. Those were the good old days really. How many albums now can you start at the first song, and let it play all the way through loving every song? Artist now need to pay close attention to these classic arrangements!

  • @arobinson68 LOL..my mother killed this album as well. I forgot all about it until something triggered a memory and I found it. Now I have it on repeat rotation1

  • Brenda is in a class of her own - and this song demonstrates why. Great talent.

    Mikki

    learned somethin' new ; )

If anyone has that song could U Pls post it ; )

  • thank u hamishblues

for posting this great gem! ; )

  • I have :)

  • @mikki81050 yeah, she had another song titled Jarreau!! Thought she was singing as a fan, maybe not huh!!??

  • @mikki81050 That's is cool! I love that history right there. Al was on the rise at this time, 1979 and had done or was doing lead vocal for Freddie Hubbard "Little Sunflower". That's when I first heard him when I was 11. Love her and this track.

  • For You J.

  • My "comming of age" song. Hearing it pulls at my heart strings.

  • brenda, you are My favorite!

  • the tune is really hard to follow!!

  • @DolceVita

I GUESS IF YOU HAVE NO SOUL OR RHYTHM IT WOULD BE HARD TO FOLLOW.

  • @MIMI88998899 I wouldnt know love, I have plenty of soul and rhythm, spiteful mean-spirited goat!

  • @DolceVita

YOUR COMMENT MAKES YOU SOUND LIKE A TYPICAL SICK BASTARD.

  • @MIMI88998899 hahahaha!! That's the stupidest thing I ever heard - there was nothing sick or bastardly about my comment, I just happen to find that the song has a weird melody. No offence was meant , it was just my opinion - but you decided to behave like the typical cowardly internet idiot and make a rude and stupid comment. Its the behaviour I expect from 11 yr old boys whose balls havent dropped yet, or from internet racists!!

  • @DolceVita

YOU STARTED IT WITH THE NAME CALLING. CALLING SOMEONE A MEAN - SPIRITED GOAT IS BEYOND RUDE.

I RESPONDED TO YOUR POST IN WHICH YOU STATED THIS SONG WAS HARD TO FOLLOW. I DID NOT CALL YOU A NAME I JUST MADE A COMMENT TO YOUR POST AND YET YOU DECIDED TO RESPOND IN A VERY RUDE WAY WHICH GAVE ME NO CHOICE BUT TO RESPOND IN A WAY THAT YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND BASED ON YOUR POST TO ME.

AS FAR AS THE 11 YEAR OLD BOY COMMENT I GUESS THAT'S SOMETHING YOU WOULD KNOW ABOUT.

  • @MIMI88998899 You started with the insults, not me!! Don't try and pretend that was just a harmless comment, you meant to offend, you know it, so stop being fake.

ANyway, I am done. You don't know me but yet said i have no soul or rhythm, the comment was intended to offend, and was cowardly (like most mindless insults made on the internet). I said you were mean-spirited in response. We both know where each other are coming from so if you don't mind, I 'd like to leave it as that.

  • I am so proud to know that there are other true music lovers out there like myself. I know that you all must be so glad to have born during a time when so much creative, real, music was produced and If you appreciate music like this, you must be some talented individuals yourselves.
