  • Man..this makes me happy. I have Concorde 2127 that I'm gonna have to sell...that makes me sad.

  • I stripped a Hammond Concord because of a bad amp. Silly me, I didn't think about using an external amp. Excellent job on a classic song and classic organ.

  • @southerncrescent1401 - It worked out really well being able to control treble, bass and the like. Now I think the poly-synth percussion board is fried, smelled a resistor burning the other day and now the last 6 pec tabs pizzicato - Piano have a solid background tone like many keys being pressed at one time. It's so much fun trying to keep these old monsters running with no parts house to buy boards and components.

  • You can play very well. Please, if you have any chance, record the video's again with better sound. The distortion destroys your good playing and it doesn't deserve that.

  • @SilverHammond - Sorry I used a Fuji S1500 camara to recxord the video I know the audio is poor but sadly that's all I have!

  • Just came back to listen to this one again. Reminds me of seeing Mickey Gilley in concert in Waco in the early 80's. Won't forget that one. My date had two wisdom teeth removed that morning. By evening, her jaw was swollen to the size of a bowling ball...wanted to put a sack over her head. Still enjoyed Mickey and this song. Again, great playing!

  • @steverabb My wife and I were listening to Willie’s Place a channel on Sirius radio out on the patio the other night, they played Mickey singing this and we did a little Texas two steppin (as much as people from Ohio can do) around the back yard. We both said we wished we could have seen him at Gilly’s back in the day. Thanks again for visiting this old coots Lounge! LOL!

  • Great Mickey Gilley song played in the Hamaround style. Always good! Glad you got the Concorde working again!

  • @steverabb - Thanks Steve once I got things adjusted it sound pretty good - Running both cannels through a 300-watt stereo amp and back to the speakers in the organ. Both internal amps are shot. Yep the Hamaround style all right, that is if playing everything in the key of C is considered a style LOL! Thank again.

  • thank you - much enjoyed!

  • @UmaBlinky - My pleasure - Thank you!

  • Posting this on my Facebook page. Love you're actually playing the song on the video this time, and we see the organ too. Very well played, and the Concorde effects terrific! If you can in the future, please use the "chyme" effect in your song. Love the older Hammond X-66, that has the same sounds as the Concorde. Thanks from the "Thriller" roller coaster guy.

  • @koasterkav - I'll come up with something I can use the chimes on - Thanks for your comments!

  • Excellent Bob, Good old School playing, I Love it * * * * *

  • @DocBobbyD That's me alright old school all the way - LOL

  • Nice! Your Concorde is like my except mine has a Transposer You play very well. Thanks for the video

  • @aknabea That's interesting I didn't know they made a model with a trasposer - I would love that since I play everything in the key of C - LOL!

  • Hi Bob,

it is a wonderful song and well played. Only the sound is with distortion, it seems like driven too high when recorded. But thank you for the upload, William.

  • @MusicBlinded51 - Thanks so much - I'm using a Fuji S1500 - a still camera with limited video capability one being the poor quality of the built in mic and no way to plug in an external one
