  • My two cents: with the thermostat placed so close to the evaporator (looks like it's inside the evaporator box), wouldn't it tend to get cold too quickly and make the compressor cycle off before the rest of the cooler has gotten cold enough? You prob. should move it, if you can, a little further away.

  • @Thepylot78 Yes, true! I normally have it cranked down all the way, and for a hot summer camp-out, it runs continuously. It will only freeze drinks that are in contact with the evaporator.

  • Pretty cool but I would have turned it around. As for cutting the lines they are not too hard the recharge they'll often work with 134a.

Heck I even once saw someone use propane as a refrigerant but it's not really advisable.

After seeing this I think I know what I'm going to do with one of these spare compressors I have on hand.

  • dexter xD

  • dr. frankenstein i presume?

  • You need to put the radiator on the other side

  • The lines aren't long enough to put it that way without the compressor being in the way of the drain on the other end.

  • Great Job !! Dave will be proud

  • Thats very very cool and i have the same exact minifride in my shed i found out for junk and it works too.

  • nice !!

  • almost perfect design. need to turn the evaporator coil around so you can get more beer in there.
