Unfortenetly I don't remember any music.... becuse all we had with our 486 (at the time) was the PC Speaker.... no Adlib, no SoundBlaster, no Roland, no Gravis Ultrasound.

Long missed game. Wolf 3D tops my fave game list, followed by Brix. I still remember passing all the levels of Wolf 3D with my brothers. We 'cooperated', one led the way, another did the shooting and so on. We loved the game so much that we played it over and over, just to get 100% for all levels and broke our own record. Come to think of that, it was so insane. But we had loads of fun! *lol

I played the game on DOS and liked the atmosphere. But if you play too long you could get eye-cancer because of the low resolution. Texture-mapping was a technical milestone at that time.

Sort of, but you could use that argument and say that half-life is a descendant then. Besides, wolfy and doom are both descendants of Hovertank 3d.

Wolfenstein may have been revolutionary, but it most definitely is not as fun as Doom, which offered real 3d, a crapload of monsters, a lot of detailed textures, and lighting.

truew ..but by descendant of course i mean developed by the same guys...you always hear carmack and crew saying how developing the doom engine gave them the opportunity to overcome some of the restrictions of the wolf engine, like..having walls at 90 degrees only
