  • How the hell did I go out every night, go to school full time and work? Now, I'm lucky if I'm awake past midnight!

  • @u2bdetox I think I love that comment... so true for me too

  • found it, it is Tori Amos - Professional Widow (Armand's Star Trunk Funk Mix)

  • Amazing tune! Anyone know what the tune is with the 'Sally B' phrase is, 'Scabby pig' as it once thought it was many years ag when my brother used to play this 'genre' of music all the tine.

  • @JOHNNNYT06 She's saying, "gotta be big" but now I'm only going to think of Scabby pig. lol

  • Bad Ass tune to be kicking in an MG ZR (Y)

  • top

  • classic!

  • ugghhh i love it. have an album w/the various house tracks and it never gets old...classic!

  • excellente version,j'adore.

  • So much debate over the genre just goes to show how influential this track was for so many sub genres of house, garage and bass music. It's too slow to call it drum n bass, but like someone pointed out, that's what was on the label. All that aside, what we should be talking about is the fact that it was used in so many different kind of DJ sets when it came out, and it still could be used in so many ways today. It's perpetually ahead of it's time, no matter when it's dropped.

  • COOL TRACK!

  • It's the name of the mix I think!

  • This tune made me cut my hair and bin kurt kobain the fuck off.

  • @bluebob81 maybe that's because you fault the capacity to listen... if you could, you might see the contradiction...

  • really, this is not drum and bass. it's speed garage

  • classicccccc

  • So much energy it could run the National Grid for a month

  • UK Garage in its best!! missing London big time!

  • @nicelass00 No. UK Garage? No.

1996 was a very special year. Out went piano, in came AVH's tasty little bass-line treats.

AVH = American. This aint Speed Garage. Its House with a certain edge.

  • @SpaceOldskool actually, there were 2 different versions of speed garage that came out simultaneously. american & uk. the american speed garage was very short lived unfortunately. but this would be considered american speed garage. along with the spin spin sugar & prfessional widow AVH remixes. but then if you were truly "old school" you would know this already..

  • Van Helden .... still the best....

  • DRUM AND BASS? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • @UKGHead yup. either armand or the label called it that, though drum n' bass was an established genre.

  • @orkanthas it's an old ukg track ... Was never established as DnB. This youtube poster obviously just doesn't have a clue.

  • @UKGHead

well in a way you are right.. u just forget that this is a major tune of the 90's techno scene

  • @UKGHead it was officially labelled AVH's DnB Mix. The poster has got a clue.

This was from 1996 before UKG was classed as a genre.

  • Think ripgroove used it better, bit more intense!

  • fucking love this song , blast from the past

  • armand show re-invented house music in those times, respect

  • This is a ruffer press than mine. I like!

  • @regisx32 Duh..

  • This is a damn cool remix, but the original CJ Bolland track is so close to the Prodigy's "Poison" I'm surprised they never sued!

  • Sounds like his Sneaker Pimps remix and his Tori Amos remix.. His dark garage mixes are the f'in best!!

  • Another classic.. !!

Agree man. Totally awesome time for this type of music from around 95-99

  • This is ripgroove by Double 99 haha

Ripgroove was nice, but this rocks harder any day.

  • oldddd skool! this takes me BACK.

  • such a fucken good tune! Thanks for the upload!

  • CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

  • The transition at the 2:02 to 3:07 marks where the loop fades out and comes back with the Sugar Daddy set me free hook starts is absolutely ridiculous.

  • That was intended to be a compliment.

  • Classic!

  • love it

  • Awesome tune

  • Ehm....are you serious? Ok I hate house, but I dont find any relation between the original and this one...just some lyrics.Expected a nice mix, but this one is like the ...mozart's remix? of the cool one XD

  • How many times was this called Sneaker pimps - sugar daddy on album track lists lol

  • HAHA..yeah..similar to the Armand remix of Spin Spin Sugar by the Sneaker Pimps..I admit..i used to get the remixes confused!

  • haha @ DnB remix ! sounds nothing like it. Wikked Classic though. I remember this track on my Ministry of Sound compilation The Annual Vol 2 going back to 1996. It was professional widow mixed in with Sugar is Sweeter....those two mixed together sounded wikked.
