Herr's book is a reminder of what has come since: wars and the rumours of wars... the Bush debacle, drones, murder, Congressional sycophancy.. the long , slow descent into NOwhere.. welcome to the show folks.
too bad he made a lot of it up see "War stories" : false atrocity tales, swift boaters, and winter soldiers--what really happened in Vietnam / Gary Kulik.
@gigiloboy Does that book specifically prove the falsification of the accounts of Michael Herr's written in Dispatches? I would guess not. Dispatches is a widely acclaimed book and a monumental work to the experiences of the soldier in the Vietnam War. Does Gary Kulik even mention Michael Herr at all? If so I would like to know more.
Cant hear a thing.
