I am 13 and I have played futsal in europe and in north America. I'm Dutch, but i wasn't good at futsal at all. My brazilian coach decided that we should play futsal during the winter since it's so cold and snowy here in the us. Now, It's summer, and I can dribble my brother so easily.

whoever can play futsal, he also can play football.. but for those who can play football, does not mean that he can play futsal.... just giving my opinion... anyone disagree?? peace n plis no war... :)

If English football was to adapt futsal for children development in 20 years England would probably win a world cup.

Ireland is starting to develop a futsal strategy for youth development so may they will start to qualify more often. Scotland, England and Wales could all benefit from a futsal strategy for youth development. There is no point teaching kids with large footballs and full size pitches when do not have the basic skills.

@davetrace123 I disagree, infact u will improve ur football skills by play futsal during the off season. Multiple sources confirm futsal is perfect for Football (not the indoor soccer with walls thou, that isnt recommended during the off season). some of the worlds best players gained their football skills this way > Ronaldinho, Ronaldo

futsal is the real indoor soccer. u see less playrs because the court is bigger, how its suppose to be. u probably play in basketball courts.

Futsal is way better than soccer, you have to be really fast and know how to work with the ball at your feet, there are different rules, is almost the same but not quiet, is better there, usually there are more goals.

i believe one rule is it's not allowed to go above head height...dunno though...but yes, this is where most players learn their skill because its fast paced and you need to have extreme control over the ball.

With all respect, but you are actually wrong, sweetasmeat. From where I am from I can firmly say that Futsal is played more than Football. This happens because of the lack of space needed for the big fields where Football matches take place. Futsal doesn't need that much space and its practice have been become convenient in big cities that have as a problem the lack of space. Futsal there isn't dealt as a showboating sport, it's just trated as the standard Football is.
