repeatedly, and then enjoyed the proper sequence of

watching your "The City (Jazz Suite)" video in order to

reacquaint myself with the Prelude and Nocturne movements

which precede this sensationally centrifugal Serenade. After

this I contemplated, mulled, and meditated upon the how

and why of my fascination with your latest Collaboration.

Here are a few impressions of how my thoughts ran

around in celebration of your new music video : )

I'm so impressed by the striking adherence to color

theme for Serenade. I'm struck by our entrance to the

city in realism, and the succeeding diffusion of hyper

reality and abstract mathematical visualization to

show cosmopolitan architecture and the shift between

soul-less cityscape yet a city teeming with souls lost

in daydreams AWAY from the city: on the beaches,

at sunsets, dreams of far away places clinging in the

minds of city dwellers. The elegance and sensuality,

urban sophistication,

and chic glamour are for our eyes and the music a strain to blend and bend our eardrums in the classic gotham melancholy and yet sweetly reassuring perseverence of a classic sounding tune which could be appreciated by Gershwin, Ellington, et al. (I personally would enjoy playing it for Tom Jobim and Claude Bolling among others). The music to me shows the endurance of city dwellers to remain lyrical in a sometimes impersonal atmosphere. I think the video shows how cities are the sum of their

perception of sight and sound both in and out of the city itself!

But, of course, I could be all wet!
