Really nice video, pal! Never tried DH myself, and the punctured lung doesn't sound so great but I'm still keen - wish the bikes weren't so damn expensive. Any easier tracks in Scotland that you reckon could be done (enjoyably) on a FS trail bike... by which I mean 120/100mm travel?
@InsomniacGoose Loads mate, Glentress is a must (spooky woods is awesome), Innerleithen, you could also do the red route with uplift at Fort Williiam but it doesn't open again until May 2012. If you haven't been to Glentress its a MUST for trail bikes, I love it, especially the red route. I have a few videos on here with the spooky woods descent so you can see it. Thanks for your comment.
Wow I never really saw how fast you were going until I rode Fort Bill myself. You must be pretty fit to be able to do a full run at speeds like that without stopping haha.
I had a bad off t 2:15 where you're supposed to go down the right. I did'nt know what it was so I just went for it down the left and went over the bars, and some old f*cking women was laughing at me in the gondola :/.
@ryangooner14 Cheers mate, its a very demanding track and this is one of the fastest times I have managed. You can still take the left their but need to carry speed. I had a bad off at Fort Bill 2 weeks ago and ended up overnight in hospital with broken ribs, a punctured lung and a head injury. On the mend now though, thankfully! Still love the place though!
@kirstin181101 Oh shit! My idea of a bad crash is a bit different to that.Punctured lung must have been f*cking awful... I got down in under 10 mins, I was pleased with it considering it was my first time there. I doubt I will ever be close to 6:41 though! You must race SDA or something do you? p.s Get well soon.
@ryangooner14 Yip, it was a sore one mate but I'm on the mend. I don't race at all, just do it for the fun (if ye can call it that???, haha!) as I'm not fast enough and I'll leave that for the pro's. I have done the Endurance DH the past few years though which was great fun. Once you learn the track its a LOT easier knowing certain lines etc.
