if you using heel-up technique like me, it's better to do this like you just raising up your heels, not the front part of your foot. because different muscles working and the movement is completely different on heel-up and heel-down techniques. these are not my words. this was said by Roddy or Kollias or some third great drummer, i can't remember exactly.
