  • To my NOYC friends. Here is waht I was talking about. To my high scholl freinds remmeber this?

  • Wow Philippines !

  • The dance has a rich history and everything about the dance has a story to tell- from the name of the dance to the legend how the dance has evolved.

  • Lovely performance! The dancers are light on their feet! 5*!

  • enjoyed your performance.. great job!

  • hi

where can i find the background song

    for this dance?

    please message me.

    tnx

  • hehehehe im doing the dance too but my friend remixed the song

  • the bamboo actually hurt if u got ur feet nipped by one..lol.

  • Me and my half Filipina / full Filipina friends were forced into doing this dance in front of a bunch of English people who looked really bored and only woke up when I hurt my ankle. We were crap.

  • lol..my friends and i did this for my schools cultural festival...lol.

  • do you kno an easy way to teach it?

  • wow, that was amazing! it doesn't matter if likha or bayanihan performed this native dance and how simple or complex they did their routines as long as they'd reinterpreted this filipino dance by heart. i'm so proud of our heritage and talent. we're not only great singers but great dancers as well. foreigners have always praised filipinos for being one of the greatest performing artists in the world. mabuhay philippines!

  • Hola....

    sin querer encontré este vídeo

de ustedes los recuerdo muy bien en brasil

yo soy del conjunto tumu henua isla de pascua!!

    muchos saludos y cariños...

    Iorana korua

  • My sisiter knows how to do this dance i love the melody

  • are all the people mosting and watching here old

  • sorry i ment mostly

  • Bayanihan is one of the front-runners of Philippine Dance probably in the world. They were the first to set an example for Philippine cultural dance troupes worldwide and perform cultural dance theatrically, never-before seen during that era. Artistic directors and teachers study from Bayanihan as a tool to broaden their range of dance and creativity. Bayanihan makes educational instructional videos for that purpose.

  • They help educate Pilipinos about the dying culture. No one can put a "patent" on cultural dance moves. Cultural dance moves are the way an instructor perceives them to be, which can create originality.

  • As for "complex Tinikling routines", they are not necessary. The farmers and Tikling birds were not performing formations changes while blindfolded. The new "modern Tinikling" is more for showboat, as many college PCNs do it for "bragging rights". I must say I was a victim as well. In retrospect it does not matter how complex a Tinikling routine is; a Philippine cultural dancer/instructor's job is to portray the dance as accurately as possible, as our descendants did in the fields.

  • Read from the bottom up lol

LIKHA I hellov miss you guys... I wish I could come back to Rondalla-it-up and dance...

  • this is so bayanihan... i hate it when dance companies and troupes copy from bayanihan. i mean there a lot of things you could actually do to make the tinikling more interesting to watch than having the bayanihan style

  • your routine isn't as complex as the one that my friends and i do

also, the clappers dont seem to stay with the beat of the song

  • wohoo!!! filipino folkdance!!!:-)..though i never thought id find it here

  • where can i download the melody?

  • thank you very much =)

  • hey, its for a project =) can any one tell me the instruments of tinikling?

im pinoy, i live in Spain =)

    Thank you..

  • Bare basics are: Guitara, Laud, Bandurria, Octavina, double bass. More traditionally there's also the piccolo bandurria, mandola, and bajo de unas. Hope that helps.

  • im proud to be pinoy!

  • Try typing "Leyte Dance Theatre" in You Tube search bar. They too have good tinikling. Enjoy

  • Great dancing, but someone seemed to have added his/her own guitar to the actual rondalla.

  • nice dancers!!!! RoNDALLA sucks!

  • Nice dancers. Bad rondalla.

  • From what it sounds like, the rondalla was poorly mic-ed. The guitar got all the feedback.

  • I love it. Thanks to youtube.

  • Amazing! Great Performance!

  • your sway balance is awsome!! so graceful!!

  • their sway balance is really great. better than a lot of the ones ive seen other dance troupe members do in performing this dance.

  • actually it was not a sway balance! it was an improvised KURADANG!!!! read the dance literature of the TINIKLING okay???

  • The Kuradang part of the tinikling is here made with bigger steps to make up with the spacious stage. Maybe that why you said it was improvised

  • wow!!!!

  • thats nice they seem so light on their feet

  • nice

  • YEAH!

  • I LOVE PERFORMING FOR BRAZIL! I'm the one on the right sticks, with the lady in pink! Yup, this was a great tinikling! FAST! ManokOUT!

  • I miss the cultural dances...
