No, Energizer has the copyrights for "the pink bunny" in the United States. Duracell has the copyrights for other countries. (Duracell came up with the pink bunny idea first, but because they didn't copyright, Energizer did).
Heh, I much prefer the Australian version of this ad... Not only is the narrator far less annoying, but they actually have the balls to openly identify the "ordinary carbon zinc batteries" as being Eveready Super Heavy Duties, not that it was hard to guess since Eveready is the only major battery producer still using carbon zinc... Also, note that the batteries the other bunnies in this ad are using are red... Only Eveready batteries are that colour...
It's also interesting to note that I (an Australian) have never seen the "Energizer Bunny"... The only Energizer spokescharacter I've seen is the "living battery" one, whose catchphrase is, "nope..." as a response to the question on everyone's lips, "don't you ever give up?" However, in the most recent ads I've seen with him he didn't have any lines, most likely because the Duracell Bunny never does and Engergizer is always looking to play of the former character's success...
Actually, the Australian current affairs program Today Tonight ran a test, which showed that (at least when they're powering Thomas the Tank Engine train sets) the performance of the Duracell and the Energizer batteries was pretty similar, though they did indeed find that the Eveready carbon zinc batteries didn't last nearly as long as the Duracell and Energizer batteries, which are alkalines...
Because when the price and efficiency of the batteries is the same, the more ascetically pleasing one with better adverts takes my vote; which is Duracell.
The Duracell bunny pre-dates the Energizer one by a looong time.
In fact, the Energizer bunny was created as a deliberate parody of the Duracell Bunny and in a twist of fate became the 'original battery powered pink bunny' in North America.
Have a look for the Duracell Bunny on Wiki for more details.
I have a stuffed pink bunny at home and when I put Duracell instead of Energizer in it one time, it did NOTHING.

It makes sense too... Energizer and Duracell are both the exact same kind of battery, why should one last significantly longer than the other?
