    Thanks for posting.

  • definitely not related to Gram Parsons

  • damn that was good

  • Saw them at the Beacon in NYC several years ago .Kansas opened. AP never liked to play live up until 15 or so years ago because he didn't believe he could reproduce the studio sound in a live venue. Would love to see them again.

  • I love the way the lead guitarist inserted the Hendrix solo from "All Along The Watchtower" into this performance.

  • saw APP & Yes in Canandagiua NY in the '90's, GREAT, AWSOME show! Good times & memories

  • After all these years and these guys sound good live on stage, that is a very special thing

  • Goddammit I'm jealous!!!!!!!! A.P. Please visit Australia!!

  • You know Alan Parsons was not only an artist, he was also a great engineer! He was Pink Floyds Chief Engineer and the Brains for most sound effects on some of Pink Floyds great LPs

  • @62bobham1 wow did not know that , one thing i do know he demands complete perfection from his band ,no pissing around. How can you not like that ,,,,,,cheers

  • He must be like 9 ft. tall, lol.

  • Awesome Song!!!!!!!!!!! slimlady624

  • The one and only time I saw APP they opened for Yes. They are an outstanding live band with great sound. This was a pretty big hit back in the day. Honestly, I never liked this song. Great live show - go see them if you have the chance!

  • They still sound great, so under-rated!

  • Bibo and Clearly, you guys are not entirely correct. Go to Alan's bio-page for the real story.

  • wow this looks like it was a great show always liked app albums never thought they played live..it turns out they could talk the talk and walk the walk bavo 2 thumbs up

  • Amazing song love it BRB gotta dance =]

  • Many don't know Parsons wrote ( The Dark Side Of The Moon ).

  • @Clearly69 Not to diminish Alans contribution to DSOTM, but he didn't write any of the songs. He was an engineering prodigy at Abbey Road Studios. I always loved all of his music, including this song

  • @BiBo24 That's what I meant. Thanks for clearing that up. Peace...

  • @Clearly69 BS, learn your facts!

  • @Clearly69 i think actually he mixed it and roger waters wrote it

  • lengendary and amazing band ever

  • @RickStylus

    Legendary and amazing indeed!

Gonna see them live tonight. Can't wait!

  • I LOVE this Performance...i have to see them LIVE before i do...what a Band!!!!

  • GENIAL GROUPE ! (STRASBOURG-FRANCE)

  • There are some real boobs in this world. The 21 of you who voted this "thumbs down"!

  • I got to see these guys open for Yes in the mid to late 90s in Concord, CA. What an awesome that was! And, to think that a guy in the parking lot gave me a free ticket!

  • whoooppp whoop COME TO LIVERPOOL !!!!!

  • which one is alan parsons?

  • @johnnydontdoit -- he's the big guy in the purple suit

  • @ladyplaysgtr50 Fight against Cancer or AIDS with the help of your personal computer?

And use the Computer just as before at the same time?

    Possible.

For information, just give BOINC or worldcommunitygrid in Youtube search field Installing BOINC (made by IBM) is safe and for free.

The Programm runs without problems for years

Thank you, in the name of severly ill people.

Please do not only watch beautiful videos, make the world a more beautiful place helping ill people with your PC

  • just seen lenny at southampton. only 20 people turned up. real shame, he and the band were fantastic

  • great solo!!

  • And people do like to play GAMES.... No matter if they hurt you or not....

  • wheres boobcub?

  • The venue reminds me a little of the best time I saw APLP in TO at the government, small, but I was up close, right at the stage. It's not Lenny, but it's APP, so how can you not love it?

  • That was fucking awesome!!!

  • Really strange, i can see about 30 sec and then the message that this is copyrighted from Sony Music kicks in. Brand new youtube style?

  • The second part of the solo reminds me of "all along the watch tower from Hendrix am I right? or is it just me?

  • @xsbgtr - good catch. @3:08 (after the pick graboff) he launches into a "watchtower" tribute (Dylan btw).

The shakey camerawork at first had me concerned, but the cameraman redeems him/herself with closeups at appropriate times and decent audio (for a handheld concert vid). Thumbs up to blckdmndskr, thanks for posting.

  • Wow.

  • still the best band i have ever seen in my like thanks for posting it!!!!

  • nobody gives us a dam!

  • ... where do we go ... lovetheGT

  • You neocons always fall back on spelling when you cannot hold an argument on facts. If this was so horrible of a system then why not invade France and Germany and England and free them of this tyranny? Because they would kill you if you tried. Your shit head alzinhimer ass hole Reagan spouted this same crap in the 60s when Medicare was being put in place and now half the tea baggers are crying keep your government hands off my MC

  • Holy Crap! Thats as awesome tight a band ever gets!!!!!

  • Politics doesnt belong here. Put your opinions in the right forum and enjoy yhe music

  • are these guys performing on stilts??? lol

  • Christ, Alan Parsons is a big guy!

  • Love the Hendrix riff from "All Along the Watchtower" starting at 3:06.

  • That slightly true! but Alan Parsons just was the assistant engineer at abbey road studios actually!

  • Where do we go from here now that Obama has our health care plan throwing up? How do we spend our golden years, knowing that the politicians don't give a dam!

  • It's time for Rrrrrevolution !!!

  • It's time for Rrrrevolution !!!!

  • @goforthandkoncar ++++++

  • @goforthandkoncar Your a fucking retard. All the health care plan has done is to give care to more people. You fucking idiots are the first to yell keep your hands off my medicare. Our system is 60% socialized, medicare, medicaid and the VA. You sutpid racist fools.

  • @edteach2u Your ability to spell and use correct grammar is a bit twisted and incorrect, much like the logic behind your comments. Obviously you are also a shining example of our wonderful socialized educational system.

  • @goforthandkoncar Because they would kill you if you tried. Your shit head alzinhimer ass hole Reagan spouted this same crap in the 60s when Medicare was being put in place and now half the tea baggers are crying keep your government hands off my MC

  • @edteach2u

    Useful IDIOT!!!!

  • @goforthandkoncar

I think a military coup is in order....hope it happens

  • To have actually been at this event and find it on YouTube--what a trip! Doesn't get any better that...in the presence of a master artist.

  • @tybeeguy1 Can not agree with you more!

  • @tybeeguy1 And I'm Jealous of you too!!!! Nah just kidding. But I would love to see AP in action.

  • @tybeeguy1 wow they are just as good as they were

  • Parsons engineered Dark Side of the Moon

  • ...and Abbey Road.

  • yes sir

  • Pretty cool. Been a fan of Alan Parsons Project since the 70's... "Tales of mystery and imagination" album. These people are masters.

Next I"m looking for the song "The eagle will rise again".

  • To Warriorsofthecross, APP was known for using different vocalist (dozens) over the years. The selection and reasoning was based upon how complementary the singer's vocals were to the particular song. The original vocalist for "Games People Play" was Lenny Zakatek. Speaking of being a Warrior, battle ignorance with Knowledge!

  • My God, the words of this song are perfect!! Very underrated song. This kicks!!

  • good song. Anyone know the rap song that uses this sample

  • Get real warriorsof thecross--perhaps his genius escapes U--music too deep? Makes social, political statements,etc.--do U have a clue that most all Parson's music are "concept albums"? So totally original and intellectual--he engineered Pink Floyds Dark Side of The Moon, and Abbey Road by the Beatles--his music rivals both artists--simply incredible...

  • Alan Parsons on his own is a Class Act all by himself. This is in no way to take away from anyone else... It is just that Alan Parsons is THAT good!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Wm.

  • boo to you warriors. big ups to anyone playing this stuff. if you had the chance to play with parsons on this song, you'd jump out of your shoes. hung out with Alan a handful of years ago in columbus oh. after a show with christopher cross, mark farner, and jack bruce. he was as cool as it gets. of course you could have guessed that from his work.

  • God, I love youtube. I haven't heard (or seen)these guys in many, many years, and that was freakin' awesome. Thanks

  • Saw Alan live with Pete Townshend's son, Jon Entwistle before he died and Nacy Wilson from Heart performed the vocals. OMG was that just freakin awesome.

  • Is this on youtube that you speak of? If so, where?

  • This guitar player is GODFREY TOWNSEND: Lead Guitar and Vocals..for more inf. visit his web.He is great player..

    Wim-Srilanka

  • This guitar players is GODFREY TOWNSEND:( Lead Guitar and Vocals.).for more infomations visit his web site..yes he is great guitarist..I too love his style..

    Wimal-Srilanka

  • Anyone know who this guitar player is?

Wonderful pick change. Also what he does with the Hendrix bit is fairly awesome.

  • Wonderful mix of APP and JH baby!!!!

  • I Robot was good...

  • did he used to do SALE OF THE CENTURY?

  • SON GRANDES

  • *sigh* Oh gosh....someday I will see them at a live-concert. Even as a young 'un (19) I've had APP all my life. Dad simply adored their music and we're always on the hunt for the original vinyls and 8-tracks (I know....we're odd).

Lovely and thank you for posting this video. :3

  • Your Dad has stupendous taste in music...been listening to APP since 1st album....just back from SE Asia and I NEEDED IT!!!! Missed them in Knoxville, TN once, I'm still depressed over that....thank you and happy listening.!!

  • saw them this summer and man they were great. most of the fans were very educated about their music

  • I saw them in NY,they ROCKED the joint>

Then saw them in Chile, they were superb and what sound its just amazing.

Try to see them live, one of the best bands LIVE ! Alan Parsons is a master musician,he can show the new bands what it takes to be a true artist !

  • Damn...are they still around? Wish they would come to Red Rocks.I love these guys!!!

  • APP I MISS U SOO MUCH!!! COME BACK TO THE 80's!!

  • Very cool. Wonderful show. I posted my thoughts on the rockandrollguru blog.

  • Yes I was there too , good show .

    I have video.

  • This one closed the first encore last night in Milwaukee. Then they came back for a splendiferous 2nd encore of Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether. Phenomenal show!!

  • I was at the show Wed. in Milwaukee too. My wife and I were able to meet Alan Parsons after the show. 3rd time we have seen him and its always been great.

  • a band must be judged live as in the studio and what ekse can be said for alan parsons AWESOME

  • Damn, they are good live!!!

  • Where is lenny zakatek?

  • Check out the video game .."Warriors of the Eternal Sun" . Tell me if you don't hear some of this tune again......but...without the vocals.

  • Still one of the best progressive rock bands ever...

  • @anniematsumoto progressive rock? I don´t think so!!!!

  • fuack spinal tap that is what is wrong with rock today

  • Is the singer P.J. Olsson? anyway I love him! them! joe

  • I love it!!

  • no hay nada mejor que este alan , y con su tema ojo en el cielo eso si es una verraquera chimba !!!!!!!! excelente gracias

  • Actually, Geoff Emerick was engineer on Abbey Road; Alan Parsons was assistant engineer. Everyone would do well to obtain a copy of Emerick's book, Here, There and Everywhere: My Life Recording the Music of the Beatles. It is a fascinating behind-the-scenes account of the group's studio efforts, and an easy read.

  • Er, I believe that Eric Wooifson is there. Is that not him, tall guy, pink suit, dead center stage playing an acoustic guitar? Kind of hard to miss.

  • Actually, he is Alan Parsons. Eric Woolfson left Mr. Parsons back in, I believe, 1987 to pursue a career in theater.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Parsons many years ago, when he was signing autographs at a place called "Bjorn's", in San Antonio, Texas. Alan is a very nice guy and spent so much time with his fans that he didn't have enough time to give a presentation at Bjorn's of the then new DTS technology, before he had to leave to get ready for a concert. He opened for the band "Yes".

  • No, that's Alan Parsons.

  • is this the real band?

playing for a 50 people audience?

  • They need Eric Woolfson there. Lenny wouldn't be a bad addition either.

  • Who sang lead? Who is the fag up front?

  • jahahahaha

  • That guy prancing around is so fucking annoying! It's like he learned how to dance watching that stupid video for "Runaround" by Blues Traveler back in the 90's.

  • hahah check out other vids of this song live, the dancing is worse, his name is pj olsson

  • Dont need this kind of language on here. Gays have just as much rights as you do whether you like it or not & I'm straight so chill. Now the video is cool capturing this concert. The guitarist is no Ian Bairnson & singer cant touch Lenny Z thats for sure but still pretty cool overall.

  • Take it easy Sheila! You can be a fag and not technically gay.

  • This KKK guy needs to be removed from here. Dont need his kind on here hiding behind the internet. I'm reporting him to google & youtube for permanent removal by having them block his IP address as we know he'll change his name, as blind cowards do.

  • Looked like it was a great show, and what a great crowd at the end!

  • very interesting,thanks 4 hhave posted!

  • ...and now we're stuck with "geniuses" like Kanye and Diddy. Lord have mercy.

  • So true!!! What happened to good music?? The 90's was pretty good. Did something bad happen on New Years Eve 1999 that destroyed all the talent???

  • What a shame that it looks like such a small turn out for such a great band.

  • Ooooohhhhh. Are they still touring?!?!?!? I find out about this *two years* after the fact? I would've *walked* to Tennessee to see The Project!!!!

  • Yeah, I'd have given my left nut to see this.

    OK, the right one, too!

  • Oh, man. I forgot about donating body parts for this.

I don't know about you, but every time I see this video, I like it a little bit more.

  • sounds like the lead guitarist changes the riff at 3:09 to the riff from jimmys hendricks All Along The Watchtower?

  • Good Spot, yeah I agree a nod to the legend?, pity (good) guitar bands are dying out to the thump thump EMO female singers, shame !!

  • one question tho. is the guy in the pinkish outfit the one singing the solo at the beginning? cuz he has a great voice, very nice. this sounds fantastic.

  • please correct me if im wrong but was alan parsons not the engineer..or sound engineer or something to that affect on dark side of the Moon?

  • Indeed he was! Also on The Beatles' Abbey Road, I think.

  • I LOVE THIS GROUP!! THEY ROCK!!!

  • What can you say after hearing that...if the kids of today wanting to play music, could find inspiration from material such as this, then perhaps radio would be less shallow and contain music actually worth listen to!!!

  • A bit odd to see a band and famous producer in the outskirts of the USA with a few spectators to watch

  • That is odd. If they show up in Charlotte, I'll be there. What a great, great, band.

  • Very Good Song!!!

  • qué buena canción

  • so who's original to this band ?,,Alan & Alan only ? (is Alan on guitar?)

  • Alan is in the pinkish outfit and is one of the co-founders of the Project, Eric Woolfson being the other. Woolfson sang the big hit "Eye in the Sky". The group had a core of semi-permanent members, but a variety of tru vocalists throughout their rein.

Alan's talent was in writing, arranging and engineering as he engineered Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" and the Beatles' "Abbey Road" before striking out on his own.

Alan "sang" only one song ever, "Raven" which he sang through a vocorder

  • wow, thanks a lot for the info. I can use tips like this, cuz I love this band but barely know about them because they're just not popular at all. it's terrible how a band's status, or followers rather, fade. now, you have to SEEK this band cuz otherwise you just wouldn't know about them. terrible, terrible world....Mr. Alan Parsons....love your headspace. Thank you for your creations :D

  • Great tune..is that John Daly on lead guitar??? LOL

  • esos inches juegos tan cochinotes que la gente juega.,.. y no son de manita sudada,,, ni maiz,,,, ah pero hay un ojo en el cielo que todo ve y no sele escapa nada y menos las cochinadas dejuegos que juegan ...

  • Wow! They sound good live. Love this song!

  • ,,yeah, sounds just like the studio version, I live 120 miles from Chattanooga & damnit, next time I'm going !
