I like this very much, both Lennon boys are very talented, and still it is hard not to compare them to their dad while watching them. He would have been extremely proud of both of them. Unfortunately, because of John's larger than life status, I think it has stunted the celebrity of these talented sons. People compare instead of accepting them for who they are. I too am guilty of looking for John in them.
I saw him perform at Irving Plaza in NYC when his Friendly Fire record was released. There's a great story behind that record & the companion DVD (if you know the background) is quite good. Love his voice & writing. Just wish he was more consistent. But then again, he has the means to follow his muse and if we were in the same position, would likely do as well.
I love how a very special and certain hint of his fathers and mothers voice.. resonates within his own.. one could say their love created not only a musician, but artist, vocal-artist. ...I really adore it's unique sound.. brilliant

Sean found as I heard Ben Harper once say in an interview about himself...you've got to find your own stream and swim with it vs swimming in someone elses stream. He's got his own style and phrasing . Original material and ways of thinking and looking at life that are no doubtable influenced by who his parents were and are. He always uses complex chords and sequences that work out so well... Very talented musician... But some people just keep comparing him to his father and to his brother and to his mother or to the pope or someone else... Like they are praying for Sean to fail because they don't like his mother or something, Just listen to his work and leave his personal life alone, and if you don't like it don't listen again.

I feel bad for him. He isn't THAT bad. But he'll never live up to the ecspectations his dad put ahead of him. So, in a way, it's a gift and a curse. He had an amazing father who is undoubtably the cause of the actual fame he has, yet it prevents him from becoming his own man.

Loved the Friendly Fire CD. Like his tone, lyricism, sense of humor and musicality. Whether he was a Lennon or not, I would've bought & enjoyed this record in a heartbeat. It was a serious six month ear-worm for me.

I like this very much, both Lennon boys are very talented, and still it is hard not to compare them to their dad while watching them. He would have been extremely proud of both of them. Unfortunately, because of John's larger than life status, I think it has stunted the celebrity of these talented sons. People compare instead of accepting them for who they are. I too am guilty of looking for John in them.

I saw him perform at Irving Plaza in NYC when his Friendly Fire record was released. There's a great story behind that record & the companion DVD (if you know the background) is quite good. Love his voice & writing. Just wish he was more consistent. But then again, he has the means to follow his muse and if we were in the same position, would likely do as well.

I love how a very special and certain hint of his fathers and mothers voice.. resonates within his own.. one could say their love created not only a musician, but artist, vocal-artist. ...I really adore it's unique sound.. brilliant

kindof opposite of julians early pop years i guess (julian seemed less musically talented in early years, but very adept at the business and performing-ladies say julian was better looking) i agree with eigna13 above, sean has more than ability to go further with his music, but he seems to be content with his uniquely creative endeavors. Doan get me wrong, i like alot of julians music, like from mr jordan thru the 90s.

Sean found as I heard Ben Harper once say in an interview about himself...you've got to find your own stream and swim with it vs swimming in someone elses stream. He's got his own style and phrasing . Original material and ways of thinking and looking at life that are no doubtable influenced by who his parents were and are. Great sound Sean keep doing what your doing brother! Rock on!
