The tongue cylinder and stake are there for when you need precise control - like up against a concrete drive or sidewalk or along a fence. Some operators never use it - some use it on every stump. The tongue cylinder also allows you to lengthen the wheelbase which is handy in some situations for stability.
OK....nice video, but tell me, what is the purpose of the tongue extension and how do you use it? In what applications would you use it?

OK, but how do you use the tongue extension? Do you merely pound the stake into the ground? How far should it go into the ground?
